Drake Trolls Kendrick Lamar Over ‘Euphoria’ Diss Song, Teases ‘Fire’ Response

Drake has responded to Kendrick Lamar‘s scathing “Euphoria” diss track in trolling fashion.

Posting on his Instagram Stories on Tuesday (April 30), the 6 God uploaded a clip from the 1999 comedy 10 Things I Hate About You where Julia Stiles’ character recites a poem listing off all of the things she hates about a crush even though she loves them.

The clip is a clear reference to the refrain on “Euphoria” where Kendrick raps: “I hate the way that you walk, the way that you talk, I hate the way that you dress/ I hate the way that you sneak diss, if I catch flight, it’s gon’ be direct/ We hate the bitches you fuck, ’cause they confuse themself with real women.”

Drake, through Akademiks, has also teased a response to the track.

Speaking on his Rumble channel, Ak read out a text from the rap star that said: “I’m energized by the elimination of Drake… See you soon,” with the first part being a reference to recent comments made by Kanye West.

The media personality also claimed that Drake told him: “If you think this is fire, you have no idea what I got coming.”

Released by surprise on Tuesday, “Euphoria” found Kendrick Lamar hurling almost every insult imaginable at his longtime rival for over six minutes.

He mocked Drake for hanging out with Sexyy Red, rapping: “When I see you standing by Sexyy Red I believe you see two bad bitches/ I believe you don’t like women, it’s real competition, you might pop ass with ’em.”

The Compton native also referenced Drake’s past beef with Pusha T: “I don’t like you popping shit at Pharrell, for him I’ll inherit the beef/ Yeah fuck all that Pushin’ P, lemme see you Pusha T/ You better off spinning again on him ‘fore you think about pushing me/ He’s Terrence Thornton, I’m Terence Crawford, yeah I’m whooping feet.”

    K. Dot also criticized the Toronto native for buying a ring that belonged to 2Pac’s: “Somebody had told me that you got a ring, on God, I’m ready to double the wage/ I’d rather do that than let a Canadian n-gga make ‘Pac turn in his grave.”

Kendrick then ended the track by saying: “Whoever that’s fuckin’ with him, fuck you n-ggas and fuck the industry too/ If you takin’ it there, I’m takin’ it further/ Psst, that’s somethin’ that you don’t wanna do… We don’t wanna hear you say ‘n-gga’ no more/ We don’t wanna hear you say ‘n-gga’ no more/ Stop.”

“Euphoria” followed Drake’s own diss songs, “Push Ups” and “Taylor Made Freestyle,” which themselves were a response to Kendrick’s fiery verse on Future and Metro Boomin’s “Like That.”

    1. How come you turn off the comments on Kendrick articles but not on Drake? Yall some fools. Im out forever for that move. Its been real.

      1. Comments for all articles was off yesterday. Yo sensitive ass just created a conspiracy for no reason

      2. Their YouTube channel had a far white boy gassing up Kendrick’s song. They’re probably realizing that he’s not the incredible battle rapper that they thought he was since the diss is getting mix reviews.

      3. Or you’re literally retarded. I was on here yesterday before kendrick even dropped. I thought they did it because of other articles they didn’t want comments for. The site was just down f@gg1t

    2. Only people with low IQs who want to be looked at as a person with a high IQ like Kendrick’s diss. It was average at best but fake deep wokes are gonna over hype it to seem smart

      1. Because this is fire right?

“Drizzy Chip ‘n Dale, probably got your bitch Chanel
I just got ’em done, boy, don’t make me have to chip a nail”
        – Drake – Push Ups

    3. 2 successful black mens putting each other down. And rather then using their platform to encourage others.

A ND rickross with his greasy voice he definitely get on my nerves.

      1. Blacks clearly don’t consider light skin as black with the way three out the last four drake beefs went

    4. It’s funny everyone siding with Push-Ups, what did Drake say? He’s short? He doesn’t make as much money? It’s not like Drake had a nuclear diss song, everyone just dick riding him for no reason. Kendrick did the same, its called an opening act people. You don’t drop all your heavy ammo on the first go around. Round 1 is a taste, and now let’s see what happens with round 2. Just remember Drake won round 2 against Meek, and got slaughtered in round 2 against Pusha. Round 2 determines the winner. Hands down though, Kendrick had a better beat, a better flow, and yes used old info, but again just testing the water, lets see what Drake comes back with.

    6. I’d be embarrassed if this was the generation of music I was rocking with. Both these dudes corny and overrated. The white executives going to recoup their money though. Netflix documentary called “The Beef” coming soon.

    7. All this beef suddenly surfaces. I know there was tension. But suddenly everyone starts going at it. And nobody questions why it’s happening now. All a ploy by the record labels. Not for sales in particular. But whats going on with Diddy is horrible for the industry as a whole. This has been over shadowing the Diddy stuff since it started. We just like beef in hiphop so much we don’t see whats happening.

      1. Some of us have. I’ve been calling this shit out since it started. Hip hop is in its worst state since its inception. No fresh approaches. Terrible music being made. No new stars on the horizon, and mainstream rappers playing the minstrel show 24/7. Mix in this corny ass podcasting trend, and it’s on life support. When somebody like Kendrick Lamar is being heralded as a great artist and Drake is running the charts, it’s in dire straits for sure, but these executives going to pimp that bitch out of her last dollar by any means necessary.

    8. When Cole said we wouldn’t be talking about him if he wasn’t dissing that summed it all up

    9. promoting a battle where one guy doesn’t even write the bars himself is hip-hop blasphemy.

    10. Cam isn’t wrong. The track took too long to come out and it didn’t I’ve up to expectations. The track was too long. To quote GZA “too many songs, weak rhymes that’s mad long/
Make it brief Son, half short and twice strong”.

    11. Years down the line Drake will be remembered as a commercial playtoy. Lamar will be held high as a genius game changing amazing poet/performer.
These 2 are not even comparable.
      Like gold compared to pennies.
I hardly even consider Drake a rapper.
He is everything that makes rap suck.
He is a plant. Nikelodeon baby play.
      Dude is garbage radio trash.
All radio hits are watered down thoughtless bs. He has no originality or anythinh useful to say. Never has never will.

    12. Only real way to settle it is battle rap open mic with the same random beat face to face crowd decides. behind closed doors this no more than a glorified social media ploy like when cats go on live and diss an opp this a step above that only these aint opps. The fact like that went #1 tells you the industry hurt. Drake and kendrick basically the so called goats is old heads in todays game trying to bring back some 90s style beef without the bloodshed

    13. When kendrick went into the hate bars its was to be funny not super serious, he was mimicking DMX, when he went on the radio station and said he hates everything about drake. Think that went over drakes head as well….
