Drake is behind a new project that’s been picked up by Showtime. According to Deadline, Drizzy is one of the executive producers of an upcoming documentary examining the deportations of U.S. military veterans.
The film, which is titled Ready For War, explores the realities of immigrant soldiers who’ve been sent back to Mexico after committing a crime. The documentary highlights their fight to return to the U.S. and also details how veterans are targeted with forced recruitment by Mexican drug cartels.
Ready For War follows three soldiers with green cards who are in different stages of the process. One is stuck in Tijuana trying to get back to his family. Another is being detained by ICE and fighting deportation. The last subject has been brought into the drug cartel in Ciudad Juárez.
Drake is among a group of executive producers that includes his manager Adel “Future” Nur, the film’s creators Andrew Renzi and Nick Boak, and Showtime’s Vinnie Malhotra, among others. Anthony Gonzales and Jason Shrier will serve as producers.
Drizzy has previously served as an executive producer on projects such as the Vince Carter documentary The Carter Effect and HBO’s new drama Euphoria, which premieres June 16.

Never knew you could be deported with green card. Especially a veteran.
Yes, deportation is something a resident alien can always face if they commit a crime because it violates the terms of the immigrants agreement with the country. They promise to not violate laws and are sort of on a probation system where if they fuck up, they’re out. Green cards can be revoked.
Good to know. When then do they become like a regular citizen
Not commenting on the COAT, but wanted to comment on the article about Curren$y, Trademark and Roddy getting back together for an album that nobody could comment on. Can’t wait for that. Okay bye.
Why doesn’t this Canadian mind his damn business and worry about his country? Having a Green Card does not mean the person holding it is a citizen. It just means that person has permission to live here for a while until they either make a move to become a citizen or they leave. I’m sick of all this anti-American propaganda pushed by foreigners like this big head idiot. We don’t want criminals in this country. Period. It would be interesting to see if this doc interviews the branch of the military these guys served in to see if they were dishonorably discharged or if they served their time in good standing. I doubt this doc will show both sides. It’s gonna be a lib lie fest to make ICE look bad.
I only know of one of them, and he wasn’t dishonerably discharged, he actually finished 2 tours of duty, but from PTSD he fell to drugs and eventually started selling them. That’s how he was caught, he sold coke to an undercover and got a few years In jail before being deported.
Executive produced? Bwahahahahahahaha ya ok, so he wrote a check? Maybe Drake should boycott the US and stay in Canada, like all the other celebrities said they would do, until “the nightmare” actually happened. Then they just pretended they never said it
I thought Drake was too busy pretending to be a part of professional athletics. You see him hit that 3 the other night, shit was epic…then he was out there on the court talking trash like the superior athlete he is…he gets my vote for mvp
After his idol JAY Z money. Seen Jay was able to earn some coin by bringing to the masses the injustice of the poor boy KB. Now Drake is like hmmmmm
Drake should worry about American jr corrupts azz…
