Drake has taken on the role of executive producer for the upcoming film Monsters and Men. On Thursday (September 27), the 6 God shared the movie’s trailer to his Twitter account.
“I’m excited and honored to be a part of such an important film,” he captioned the post. “I can’t wait for everyone to experience it. Monsters and Men hits theatres this Friday! September 28th!”
Directed and written by Reinaldo Marcus Green, Monsters and Men portrays the story of a young father who witnesses the police shooting of an unarmed black man. Consequently, the tight-knit community of Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn is pushed to the edge.
The Sundance Award-winning portrait of race, family and consequence stars John David Washington, Anthony Ramos, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Chante Adams, Cara Buono and Nicole Beharie.

Monsters and Men is a really great thought provoking film that will definitely open up a conversation that is desperately needed.
Went into the movie ” Monsters and Men ” blind. I was so impressed with the the way the narratives were woven together and the way choice of the cinematography. Definitely recommend seeing it.
