Drake Drops Surprise “Scary Hours” EP

Surprise! Like a thief in the night Drake gifted to the world two new songs: “God’s Plan” and “Diplomatic Immunity,” on an EP appropriately titled Scary Hours considering its midnight release.

The project’s title seems to be a play on tweet of his from July 29, 2015. ‘Twas the night he eviscerated Meek Mill with his Hot 100 track “Back 2 Back.”

The OVO boss had been on a musical release break following the delivery of his commercial playlist More Life in March of last year, however as of lately he’s been teasing music all over social media which essentially fueled rumors that fans should expect something from him. No one knew it would be this soon, though. The only warning Drake gave was on his Instagram.

The Young Exclusive, Cardo and Boi-1da-produced “God’s Plan” provides for a bouncy and playful listening whereas, “Diplomatic Immunity,” produced by Boi-1da and Nick Brongers, features Drizzy rapping over a more soulful production where he also happens to addresses the media, his career and rumored relationship with J. Lo. (“2010 was when I lost my halo / 2017 I lost a J. Lo,” he raps.)

“God’s Plan” and “Diplomatic Immunity” are available everywhere now. Listen to the tracks above.

    1. The 6ix God has returned to breathe life back into hip hop with more classic songs. Real ting, ya kno? #DrakeIsLoveDrakeIsLife #ScaryHours

      1. shit is fuckin dumpster juice, more bitch made whiney bullshit..people wishing bad things for me..gtfoh..still ducking and hiding behind obvious subs..what a bitch. real things don’t you know! #DRAKEISFAKEDRAKEISWACK #Fake Drake’s a bitch made pop puppet who recites songs written by ghostwriters

    2. Drake finna drop a new project soon. A double album full of Drake the yid reciting the Torah over jevvish klezmer music.

      1. The special edition includes a bonus song “Nava Hagila (Alchemist Remix) featuring Mac Miller and Lil’ Dicky”

        1. Which of course is a remix of the classic song “Hava Nagila” with production from your favorite jevvish producer and guest verses from your favorite jevvish rappers in the game (Though i would explain this if you didn’t get the it)

    3. Do people even listen to bars these days? Just hating…zero understanding of the craft. Diplomatic Immunity is fire.

    4. His EP is titled God’s Plan but there’s three 6’s in the above picture. Who’s plan is he really following?

    5. These lil Devil puppets are playing a dangerous game I wouldn’t listen to or buy nothing drake is confessing his love for the Devil

    6. The artwork concept was stolen from the electronic producer Rabit, you can see the side by side example on his ig instagam.com/rabitmusique

      1. Ok i just took a peak and looks like this guy is a total f a g e r i n o. Dude prances around in women’s skimpy clothes, disgusting.

      1. What’s honestly the problem? Did Meek not just drop a 3 song EP last year? Shad also put out an EP called “Two Songs” with Dallas Green.

You guys will literally pick at anything.

    7. I don’t get why two songs is classified as an ep…let’s just call it what it is…Drake drops two songs…that should be the headline

      1. Drake will never have a “season” again. He played himself out. Hard. Soon he’ll come out the closet and lose most of his fan base, or someone will take a picture of him with a dick in his mouth. Maybe the dick of one of the actual MCs who write his rhymes for him.

    8. Drake’s just corny. Just saying that it was gods plan to make his ass famous is absurd. I know it’s just a song but fuck this guys done nothing for the culture whatsoever. every song either has lines about chicks or lines about something that makes him sound cool or hard. Shits annoying as hell. Like yeah sonically drake sounds great he’s got a great tone but in the grand scheme of thing what’s he really saying? NOT A DAMN THING

    9. Shits funny as hell how everybody hates on eminem for making pop music when drake does the same damn thing. Yeah drakes music is way better but that doesn’t change the fact that he’s been a pop star for the last 5 Years. Just another Justin Bieber or Katy perry disguised in the form of a rapper. It’s not even authentic music it’s just a recycled formula to make hit songs it’s fuckin sad. I mean all drake has to do is step in the booth and sing what he’s told and bam he’s the greatest rapper in the world? Nah shits fucked up

      1. Drake’s been doing music like this ever since he started. Eminem was dissing pop starts at first, and now does songs with them. Why won’t you try thinking about these things before you comment? Now go back to playing trash ass Revival.

        1. Yeah I don’t like revival hahaha. And drake has always been more radio friendly but the fact is he used to make art and now he just makes manufactured bangers

    10. At least he’s rapping, and rapping over intsrumentals that actually have a sample and some decent drum patterns. I don’t care much for Drake, but this isn’t bad.

    11. You sound corny af tho. And the reason why drake continues doing numbers, is because a majority of his fanbase doesn’t even listen to real hip hop. He’s a pop artist. Hip hop heads just hate dude because he’s not authentic. Has nothing to do with color.
