Drake Cuts Michael Jackson Song From His Set In Wake Of “Leaving Neverland”

Drake isn’t performing his entire set while on his U.K. tour — and it reportedly has something to do with HBO’s recent Leaving Neverland documentary. According to TMZ, sources close to Drizzy say he purposely removed the Scorpion song “Don’t Matter To Me” from his set, which features vocals from the late King of Pop.

His first performance was at the Manchester Arena on Sunday (March 10) and fans quickly took notice of the omission.

Drake performed the song all though the 2018 North American leg of the tour. On Sunday night, he started with the same opening and closing songs as the U.S. run but “Don’t Matter To Me” was noticeably absent.

Leaving Neverland centers on Wade Robson and James Safechuck, who both allege Jackson sexually abused them as young boys. In the wake of the documentary, radio stations worldwide have stopped playing his music, while The Simpsons’ creators axed a 1991 episode featuring Jackson voicing the character of Leon Kompowsky.

    1. It’s been known for years but nothing stopped Druke from doing this collab. Now he’s acting like a pussy for fear of losing his audience
      Respect to Tip btw

      1. Fact. This situation been out about MJ. These allegations followed him from the early 90s till his death, and NOW people wanna start pulling songs and erasing his presence in media. If these allegations are true, then yes, he’s a scumbag. But, don’t act like these stories are shocking revelations that are unheard of and are just now being unearthed.

        1. It’s because when MJ was alive there was still money being made despite the rumors. Now with this wave of TV specials focusing on him and alleged crimes, the money has been put on hold and people are freaking out.

            1. Drake, I think should have waited
Not a good move we all need to take a stand. The documentary is not true guys. It sounds too much like a porno movie. There is Michael, dead can’t defend himself and 2 guys telling a story. Why did they wait till Michael passed to come forward? There is a motive guys, public assassination, tear down to gain wealth. This is a one-sided story and only 2 guys telling it, is it just me or is something wrong with this picture? Michael loves all kids guys he would never harm them. They investigated Michael for ten years and found nothing.

    2. Ironic considering the message of the song is about ignoring criticism. Kind hypocritical from Drake, especially considering what the hook is.

    3. I mean… Question to those who think MJ was a pedo after watching the documentary. Do you reall think he wasn’t till you watched the documentary?

Why should we boycott his music now if we didn’t do it before?

    4. Stupid Drake. They’ll do it to you when you are gone too. That’s the American way. I don’t mind shaming. But at least let the courts do their job first and when found guilty you could remove his image from t shirts in Asia and no one would mind. Anyone can fall to social justice and yall happy because you are not famous so thinking it won’t happen to you.

    5. At least Drake is smart enough not to allow Michaels talent to overshadow the fact that Mike had a problem with liking small boys.

      1. Also having said that , I don’t think we should cancel his music, but what he was doing was not on. His relationship with kids was so weird. You only have to watch him holding hands with Gavin Arvizo then leaning on his sholder, talking about how they have sleep overs.

    6. Smart business decision. It’s just a tour. It’s not like it’s permanent. Things can change, but for right now, I think it’s a good call.

    7. Don’t matter. There will be a whole new generation growing up listening to his music. Millions of people know who he is and love the greatest music the greatest classic hits from michael. You ask someone from china who drake is… But everyone knows mj. life has been cruel and unfair!!!

      1. Nobody said shit when he was alive lol you internet martyrs crack me up, listen to the music not the drama artists are generally fucked up follow the music not the lives you got your own to live
