Dr. Dre is reportedly a single man again, according to The Blast. Legal docs viewed by the publication claim both parties have filed a judgment and are ready to sign off on the status of their divorce which would make both Dre and his estranged wife Nicole Young legally single and able to remarry.
The documents allege that their marriage officially came to an end on April 15, but the divorce proceedings are far from over, with much to be decided on the financial side as to who gets what in regards to Dre’s $800 million fortune.
A hearing to make their single status official is to be approved by a judge at their next court date in July. The Blast cites Dre’s issues with his wife’s false claims of domestic violence against him making their relationship unsalvageable.
Nicole Young scored a victory in their divorce case earlier in April when Page Six reported that a judge ruled Dr. Dre would have to drop his prized legal representation over “conflicts of interest” since attorney Howard King represented the couple on numerous occasions.

Young filed for divorce in June 2020, where she cited having “irreconcilable differences” with Dre. One of the main points left to figure out is the validity of the alleged prenuptial agreement Young signed in 1996. However, Young claims the West Coast rap legend ripped it up during a romantic night years ago.

Dr. Dre wife will only get spousal support according to the prenuptial agreement and that’s if…She signed the prenup…in my opinion she should not get a dime. She signed a prenup. She get a few million that’s it. She want half his trademark name so she can get half of Beat By Dre. He had that years before they ever met. That’s not going to happen. I agree with you and with Dre being the successful businessman he is, I don’t believe for one minute that he didn’t have that prenup somewhere with one of his lawyers to cover his money and whatever else that was in the prenup. The one she’s alleging he tore up in a night of passion probably was one that was in the home. He probably tore that one up but I’m willing to bet, there’s one tucked away and protected. She might get a few millions, a home , car and the staff that they had but I really doubt she won’t get any more of what she’s wanting. She should be happy with whatever she’s offered and keep it moving. She’s gaining more than what she came into the marriage with.

If there was a prenuptial agreement, it does not mean it’s invalid because a person tore it up. The prenuptial agreement ends when there are other documents stating different terms signed and dated. However, I pray Dr. Dre wife don’t get one penny. I don’t blame rich men for making these women sign prenuptial agreement. These women marry rich men broke as hell and think they suppose to take every dime when they are tired of the marriage or want a divorce. Broke women should leave the marriage the way they came in the marriage.What did his wife do to build the income from the beginning?
