Though he hasn’t put out an album in four years, Dre racked up an impressive $950 million dollars over the past decade. The majority of those earnings stemmed from owning 20 percent of the iconic headphones Beats. Back in 2014, the headphone company was sold to Apple for a cool $3 billion dollars. Right behind Dre is Taylor Swift, earning $825 million dollars.

As Dre has accrued an eye-popping amount of wealth, he’s given back to his community and the arts. In 2017, he donated $10 million dollars to start a performing arts center at a Compton high school. But last September, it was reported the “The Next Episode” mastermind was working on new music with André 3000. However, in a recent conversation with Rick Rubin, the Outkast luminary stated he was lacking the “confidence” to pump out a solo album — at least not anytime soon.
