Doja Cat has lost over 250,000 followers on Instagram after alienating her fan base through a slew of heated back-and-forths.
According to Social Blade via XXL, over 200,000 Doja fans hit the unfollow button on Instagram between Sunday (July 23) and Monday (July 24) while another 48,000 fled the superstar’s IG as of press time on Tuesday (July 25) to bring the sum lost to about a quarter-million.
Of course, that’s not going to leave much of a dent in her follower count, which currently sits at about 25.7 million on the Gram.
Doja Cat’s tirade saw her go to war on Twitter and Threads over her fans referring to themselves as Kittenz, which she clearly isn’t rocking with at the moment.
“My fans don’t call themselves shit,” she wrote. “If you call yourself ‘kitten’ or ‘kittenz’ that means you need to get off your phone and get a job and help your parents with the house.”
A fan replied that the Kittenz were “only using the name you gave us.”
“When I was an alcoholic teen,” Doja replied.
“Can you love ur kittenz again or no?”
“I don’t even know what the fuck that means,” Doja bit back.
Another cold-hearted exchange saw a fan account stationed in Iran on Threads asking for the “Attention” rapper to tell them she loves them, which she refused to do.
“I don’t thought cause I don’t even know y’all,” she wrote. “Nobody forced you idk why you’re talking to me like you’re my mother bitch you sound like a crazy person.
Doja Cat’s issues with her fans date back to last year when she was criticized for not stopping to talk with them outside of her hotel in Paraguay.
“I don’t give a fuck anymore I fuckin’ quit I can’t wait to fucking disappear and I don’t need you to believe in [me] anymore,” she tweeted following the incident.
It remains to be seen if Doja Cat’s fans will show up for her when she hits the road for The Scarlet Tour with Ice Spice and Doechii later this fall.

Kittenz??? Foh. Just be fans. I blame the Asian market for pouring delusional fan bases with their stupid kpop and what not that started before fan base names were even a thing in the West.
