Diddy has remained quiet on G. Dep’s guilty conviction for a 1993 murder, but broke his silence yesterday during an interview with Hot 97’s Funkmaster Flex. The Bad Boy mogul said that the confession most likely stemmed from substance abuse and that he wasn’t in his right state of mind.
“None of that was in G. Dep’s nature. When there were certain things that he was going through with the substance abuse situation, he would be a different person. But on an every day [basis], he was probably one of the nicest, most quietest, shyest, most humble cats that was out there. It was just so out of his character that it was mind-blowing and so when I had heard after the main announcement, he had retracted his confession and he basically said he didn’t do it,” he said. “I was like, OK, maybe he was under the influence when he confessed. And then out of nowhere, they said he was convicted which was such a shame, because he’s such a great talent. And it all stemmed from substance abuse.”
He also spoke on reuniting with another Bad Boy alum, Mase, on the remix to Wale’s “Slight Work.” Puff said that he and Mase are “cool” with one another and that if it wasn’t for him, he wouldn’t be where he is today.
“I didn’t know until I got the record. And then when I got the record, I was just like, whoa. I gotta make sure my part is tight so I could pass it off to my man right. Me and Mase are cool. We’ve kept in touch over the years. I love Mase. If it wasn’t for Mase, I wouldn’t be where I was at today. Me and him were like Batman and Robin. So it felt good to get back on a record with him, and it’s one of the hottest, most intense records in the club. That’s what I specialize in. And then talking that talk.”

“If it wasnt for Mase, I wouldnt be where I was at today”
Highly doubtful. For a minute, Mase was there, but was more a gimmick than a natural talent. B.I.G. was the meal ticket for the future.
DO YOUR RESEARCH PUFF KNOW WHAT HE TALKING ABOUT
You do us a favor and research why you are a faggot. Puff is a blood sucker and a cock sucker. B.I.G. was the meal ticket and only reason why Puff became who he is. That and making that gawd-awful hip hop R&B mess that everyone fell for head over heels.
When Harlem World dropped it was big look for BADBOY – it was huge worldwide… more so then Bigge at that time.
Mase went loco – black rob went to jail – so puffy became Diddy.
BadBoys for life movement.
Diddy a businessman for real. Mase took Puffy worldwide.
Nah Mase was dope just Puff transformed him to a commercial ass rapper….but even so he had some classic radio freestyles, classic verses with children of the corn, and some dope shit off Harlem world ( even if it wasnt that good) And that album Harlem world went 4x platinum or something…Mase was dope but changed his style TOOOOO much for Bad boy
no it was gay abuse commited by diddy. g-dep refused to buttfuck diddy and got thrown under the bus. just like mase, the lox, loon, mark curry , shyne, yung joc and the black males from “da band”
tell’em why you mad son!!!!!
mase should just run with the whole gay rapper thing. if the homos love lady gaga and nicki minaj y not mase? he could even slightly change his name to something like erotic mase. the gays would eat that shit up. think about it he could get his name back out there by being on the lady gaga “born this way” remix
That’s actually not a bad idea, my nig. Lord knows everyone knows this clown Mase is as gay as it ever is and he has his fun in ATL for more reasons than a little bit.
I’m just thinking about Killa Cam and Jim Jones blazing that clown on the radio those years back when Mase was trying to do this same nonsense before…riding the wave of the Dips or whatever. Dude just needs to go sit his gay ass down.
Puffy wrote that verse? lol
Mase was dope just Puff transformed him to a commercial ass rapper….but even so he had some classic radio freestyles, classic verses with children of the corn, and some dope shit off Harlem world ( even if it wasnt that good of an album) And that album Harlem world went 4x platinum or something…Mase was dope but changed his style TOOOOO much for Bad boy. But he did have an impact on Puff’s career
Diddy is a bitch and you cannot deny that!!!
mase used to be dope as fuck when he was rappin with children of the corn.
Fuck you Diddy release those unreleased Biggie tracks you bastard. You have so much money, do something for the Biggie fans. Shame on you for releasing Born Again and Biggie Duets.
This youg generation don’t know anything about the game. Biggie has no more music you idiot. Everybody didn’t record at a rapid rate like 2pac. Diddy already said that B.I.G only recorded when it was time to make an actual album or get on a project. He was not a studio rat!!!!
