Daz Dillinger has responded to claims that Tha Dogg Pound, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre or anybody else around Death Row Records was ever jealous of 2Pac, seemingly in response to a recent podcast from Suge Knight.
Taking to Instagram with a video on Tuesday (January 30), Daz issued a lengthy PSA to refute any claims of jealousy, because according to him, he and the aforementioned names made Pac who he was.
“Yo, I got a problem with this,” he began. “People always saying that Snoop. Dr. Dre, us, everybody — we was jealous of 2Pac. How can we be jealous of 2Pac and we made 2Pac?
“We put that album [All Eyez On Me] together. We came over there, we gave him music. We did that. We wanted him to be the man of the man, so how was we jealous putting his album together? Taking songs from us and giving it to him — how is that jealousy?”
He continued: “The only jealousy there was, was Suge Knight in his ear and everybody[‘s] ear causing confusion. Look at that muthafucka now. All on his little podcast always talking shit. Kill that noise! Tha Dogg Pound, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre none of us — we was never jealous of 2Pac.
“Because we could go out in the streets and hang out and do what the fuck we wanna do. He was limited for what he had to do. And we was the one that was producing and creating a masterpiece, All Eyez On Me. So who’s jealous? I think Suge Knight was jealous.”
In his caption, he added: “THEY SAID WE WAS JEALOUS ? of WHAT ?????? When i say made 2 pac we made that album all eyes on me cu he didnt sound like me against the world. pac embraced our style of rap especially mines dazdillinger. we sound alike when we rap cuz i was the producer so im setting bar for the aongs we did or wrote together.”
Daz was seemingly responding to an episode of Suge Knight’s Collect Call podcast that was published on December 21, where he said, “When Pac got bigger than everybody on Death Row, that’s when the jealousy kicked in. I guess that’s when that plot kicked in.”
He went on to say that fans had gone from asking the likes of Dre and Snoop for a photo and autograph to asking them where 2Pac was at.
“Everything was shifted from everybody else to 2Pac,” he added, “and I think jealousy’s what made our shit fuck up.”
Suge Knight has made other similar claims on his podcast prior to this, and Daz responded then as well.
Back in November, Suge claimed Daz and Snoop Dogg recorded a song with one of the men who allegedly plotted to kill 2Pac.
“Snoop, Daz and the rest of them, they did a song with one of the n-ggas from that side who was in the car,” he said. “If that’s loyalty to ‘Pac, shit… muthafuckas don’t need that type of loyalty.”
When asked who they did the song with, Suge named DeAndre “Big Dre” Smith, who was allegedly one of four men in the car from which the deadly 1996 drive-by shooting was carried out.
Authorities believe the other men in the car that night were Orlando “Baby Lane” Anderson, his uncle Duane “Keefe D” Davis, and Terrence “Bubble Up” Brown. Davis, the only living suspect in the case, was charged with 2Pac’s murder last year.
“The person who did the compilation was that n-gga Dre, or whatever his name is,” Suge said. “Well, you know, he ain’t here, but that’s that. But like I said before, if Keefe D telling the truth, all the other shit makes sense.”
Daz Dillinger came across Suge Knight’s comments and just hours later took to Instagram to dispute his claims.
“This muthafucka got dementia,” he said in a video. “That n-gga Suge Knight got dementia. He in jail just making up shit. Fuck you in jail knowing that somebody did a song? We ain’t did a song. We from Long Beach. What are you talking about, n-gga? You got dementia!
“He can’t even say who did the fucking song. He don’t even know who the fuck that is, n-gga. Making up shit. Suge Knight got dementia, y’all.”
Daz Dillinger tagged Suge Knight in the caption, writing: “@officialsugeknight GOT DEMENTIA.”
2pac was a movie star and had classics before he ever got on Deathrow…which is why it was a big deal in the first place.
Daz done fried his 🧠 from smoking too much weed. Besides if it was for DJ Quik’s input most of those beats that he produced would have sounded bland AF
So many composers and vocalists on that album
I am a huge Tupac fan but his first classic was All Eyez on me. Me against the world had a classic song in Dear Mama but as a whole it wasn’t a classic album, it was very good but no classic. I knew that Tupac Stans would get upset about this but I get what Daz is saying. When Tupac got out everyone stopped what they were doing to help him with his album. it was all love so to it becomes frustrating to keep hearing people say you were jealous when all you did was show love. Especially when one of the people saying it was ripping Pac off.
All eyes on me had a lot of filler
Me against the world has always been his best album to me. AEOM was dope, but definitely had filler.
Spoken like one of the white dudes who heard of Pac the first time he started getting nonstop air on MTV. You never heard of Shed So Many Tears? I Get Around? How Long Will They Mourn Me? Pour Out a Little Liquor? All that shit was pre-Death Row. He was that guy by the end of 94 from constantly being in the news and putting out heat every time he got on a track, and then he dropped a flawless album while in prison, Me Against the World. He was everybody’s favorite rapper except weirdos after that. He was on a crazy feature run and had the streets and women on lock at the same time, shit that had never been done in the game previously or since if we’re being real with it. People either get one or the other, but he had both and the superstardom that comes with white boys like you fawning over him.
More like Pac made Deathrow Records… Das is just on that bad weed

More like Pac made Deathrow Records… Daz is just on that bad weed
It was made before he got there, but that shit had definitely gotten stale by 1995. Pac took them to another level. Everybody was putting out heat in 1993 and 1994 while Death Row rested on their laurels. They put out that mediocre Murder Was the Case soundtrack, and the two main stars were not putting out anything. Dre put out Keep Your Heads Ringing for Friday, and Dogg Food kept getting pushed back. Snoop was fighting for his life in court.
Daz delusional as usual. Pac was double platinum before he got to Death Row. By the end of 1994, he was that guy. When he signed, it was seen as him coming in to take them to the next level because Death Row had gotten stale and hadn’t released much after Doggy Style. Murder Was the Case was a disappointment, and Dogg Food kept getting pushed back. Like Suge said, name one of those dudes that went on to be highly acclaimed after Death Row. Suge used to make sure great music came out of there and a lot of bullshit got left on the cutting room floor. Because they recorded a lot of trash that was not very good before Pac got there and started recording heaters damn near everyday.
PAC was a star before and after his stint. The Row saw he was impactful, and could carry the productions with his rhymes and raw personality. If they want to shed light, please submit actual album credits. This step alone will clear it up. Dax went at Dre in the past about production credits, switched his tune when Suge started running his mouth and not too ong ago was on his bs. Credits mess everybody that puts in work just to have a major name on it (Dre, Ye, ID etc). This is what created conflict within the Beetles bc they were like “let’s put our names on the songs” just to turn and fight for credential percentages about composing, who contributed what. So with that said, we don’t care no more. And if your fame to glory this point in life is looking like a drunk uncle with chapped lips and a dirty beard in a wife beater arguing like you in your 20s with NO RECEIPTS, shoot, that’s on you “cuz.” Especially with your changing sides depending on what paraphernalia you’re on, you might just need to sit down and stfu and catch up with reruns of the fresh prince, talking about how you can out dance Carlton
They were all jealous of Pac
Mostly Snoop, cuz till date Tupac still overshadow em
So many weirdo Pac fans in the comments. Daz basically saying everyone at Death Row gave him their hottest music and completed songs for AEOM. Which is comepletely TRUE. The headline kind of takes this out of context, but its cool BE WEIRD! 🤣
Yeah, they gave it to him. More like Suge told them what it was going to be because the shit they did wasn’t hitting on shit anyway. Dogg Pound version of U Can’t C Me or Got Your Mind Made Up are not better then Pac’s version. Only delusional people would think so. Furthermore, none of the productions given to him that he rerecorded became hits except Cali Love, and Dre didn’t write that shit anyway. None of them did. J-Flexx did. You don’t see him ranting about the shit 20 years later when none of the people with their names on it gave him credit for it. Whole Makaveli album was using producers never heard of before or since, and it sounds better than AOEM. Created a whole new sound for that album that was the shit.
Great comment. You are a suspect dude, but you know your shit i’ll give you that. Daz obviously has mental and possible addiction issues, but this is pretty much what i’m getting at. I don’t take sides as I leave that for the hoes. However, I will say that Makaveli had some crummy beats and mixing outside of Hail Mary. I like that album, but from a musical standpoint AOME washes it. My humble opinion as AEOM washes most albums from a musical standpoint.
Nothing weird about recollecting the truth. You’re a weirdo for thinking that’s weird. As far as your mixing comment, that’s not the sound. All Eyez was definitely mixed better, but it’s not fucking with Makaveli on a substance, lyrical, or from a sound perspective. He invented a whole new sound with whole new producers that had been sitting there rotting at Death Row for years, which was the dopest shit to see when most rappers either keep going back to the same well and get dated or don’t have the ability to come up with something new and then put out garbage that no one is feeling. Me Against the World is his best album just because it’s light on the features, but Makaveli is a close second because it was him in his final form musically, which was damn near perfection. Not to mention that the songs cut from the album are heat too.
Tony Deff calling people weird yet displays WEIRDO behavior by calling another man BELOVED 🤣😂🤣 F @ g got
You dont go outside so I know this type of slang intimidates you. Call me a f@g all you want from your home at Omaha Nebraska…Wilbur 😅
We all know pac was a broke ass niqqa before during and after deathrow and he constantly got his ass whipped so why would anyone be jealous of him? Overrated ass niqqa
You sound like a jealous bitch yourself the way you talked about him 😆 You could’ve just ignored it instead you acted on your female impulses to say some irrelevant shit like all bitches do 🤭
Black men (for the most part) refuse to grow up. The old as ninjas replying to each other online like there is no such thing as a phone. All this old shit DOES NOT MATTER and we really don’t give a fuck. GROW UP BOYS!!
