Dame Dash has declared Kendrick Lamar vs. Drake the greatest rap battle of all time.
Speaking on his America Nu Network, the Roc-A-Fella Records co-founder explained his argument while also crowning Kendrick the winner of the hotly contested feud.
“As far as fighting goes, in this moment, Kendrick won,” he said. “It’s almost by far now. Last week, it was neck and neck, but after the last exchange with the pedophile thing and the response and the [impact] of ‘Not Like Us,’ it seems like he’s disrupted Drake’s life.”
He continued: “I don’t know what’s going on over there with the shooting at [Drake’s] crib, but what I’m finding out is so many people that you might not think are like that or involved in certain things, those be the ones where you’re like, ‘Goddamn, they were doing that!’
“It does seems like the industry is just sick of Drake. I didn’t know there was so much hatred — not hatred, but so many different people that are in the industry have sort of gone against him, and I didn’t know that there were so many people that had problems with him.”
Dame then gave K. Dot and Drizzy the edge over other historical battles such as 2Pac vs. Biggie, Ice Cube vs. N.W.A and even his former business partner JAY-Z‘s feud with Nas.
“This has been the best battle of all time,” he declared. “I’ve been here in Hip Hop for a while — this has been the most impactful battle to where it looks like the battle songs are changing the trajectory of that artist’s life.
“It just seems like things are different for Drake right now. I’ve never seen this happen before.”

Dame Dash recently reflected on the early ’00s beef between JAY-Z and Nas and claimed that the latter emerged victorious, despite his alliance with Hov at the time.
âJayâs response was terrible,â Dame said on the Thatâs F***ed Up Podcast, referencing Jigga’s divisive “Supa Ugly” response to Nas’ “Ether.”
âThe thing is, we had first hit him with the joint at Summer Jam that was kinda hard, the âTakeover.â But when [Nas] came with the âEther,â I was kinda hype because he said my name. I was like, âI guess Iâm in a rap record.â
âBut the response, I wasnât there for the response. Irv Gotti fucked that one up. Every time Irv Gotti got in my business, he fucked shit up ⊠He threw that âEtherâ on him. He had him apologizing. The rap that he did was wack â when I heard it, I was pissed.â
He continued: âI was coming from doing a Rocawear ad on a private [jet]. I had just landed from like Arizona and Iâm listening to this shit on the radio like, âWhat the fuck is this?â So I was like, âGo to the fucking Baseline [Studios],â you know, âcause I wanna know what happened. Iâm like, âWhat the fuck happened?â
âAnd they in there high-fiving and shit. Iâm like, âWhat you high-fiving for? This shit is wack.â This n-gga talking about other n-ggasâ business and shit, like we donât do that. And it was Irv. I was like, âIrv Gotti.â I called Irv, told him donât ever get in my business again bro, like, âWhat you doing? You not about war.’â
Cmon man. 50 cent an Ja Rule alone was 10x better, and that might barely come close to top 5… songs like “back down”, “hail Mary” with Em, ja Rules “loose change”, “so hot”, g units “order of protection”, I can name 5 more… all of these tracks from both sides are better, by far, than anything from Drake or kendrick.
That wasn’t a battle. It was one sided because 50 destroyed Ja and instantly ended his career once GRODT was released and Ja was never able to come close with any of the disses him and his crew released after. Then when Em and G-unit hopped in, it was like the saying “when the cow falls down, the knives multiply”
“this has been the most impactful battle to where it looks like the battle songs are changing the trajectory of that artistâs life.”. Uh. Tupac? Biggie? Murder Inc? Death row records? Eazy E? Dame dash is an idiot for saying that.
What a fool
Dame Dash was the third most important guy at Roc-a-Fella.
How is a beef between two cornballs with not one bullet fired the greatestvof sll time ? And coming from a guy old enough to remember pac vs. biggie is incredibly disappointing. This was the corniest beef of all time.
Pac/Biggie would’ve been the greatest if Biggie ever released a direct response and it was all subliminal.
“…this has been the most impactful battle to where it looks like the battle songs are changing the trajectory of that artistâs life.”———— That’s not necessarily a good thing, 2pac and Big ring a bell? And this battle has been wack, Kendrick won just through attrition and Drake being unable to come up with anything meaningful to say in his own defence. This has been the most overblown rap beef of all time.
