DaBaby has said that he’s not opposed to doing a whole joint album with Megan Thee Stallion despite their very public falling out.

TMZ caught up with the Raleigh, North Carolina lyricist, who said that despite their vitriolic falling out these past few years, he would be able to let bygones be bygones and link up for some music.

“Absolutely,” DaBaby said when asked if he’d collab with the Houston rapper. “You know I been doing them songs with you.”

TMZ then asked if the pair had reconciled, to which DaBaby replied they were “cooler than a fan.”

He was then asked if he had spoken to Tory Lanez since the Toronto artist had been found guilty of shooting Megan in the feet, to which the “BOP” rapper replied: “Tory, it’s hard to speak to him.”

But much like with Megan Thee Stallion, DaBaby said he was “cooler than a fan” with Tory, before explaining he was “cool with everyone” and he wanted everyone to “spread love, spread joy.” He also added that he had some new music coming at the end of the month.

Meg and DaBaby used to be close collaborators, linking up on songs such as “Cash Shit,” “Cry Baby,” “Nasty” and DJ Khaled’s “I Did It,” all of which gained traction on the Billboard Hot 100.

However, everything changed once DaBaby aligned himself with Tory Lanez, who was found guilty of shooting Meg in the feet multiple times after a party in 2020. Megan unfollowed DaBaby on Instagram in 2021 after Baby and Tory linked up for the song “SKAT,” with the Houston Hottie accusing DaBaby of being two-faced.

“Support me in private and publicly do something different…these industry men are very strange,” she tweeted. “This situation ain’t no damn ‘beef’ and I really wish people would stop down playing it like it’s some internet shit for likes and retweets.

DaBaby responded by telling Meg he didn’t have “no bad energy” for her, to which she replied: “We already spoke abt this in private and you specifically said ‘that ain’t even no good business move why would I promote that shit’ but now this ain’t your ‘beef’ ? That ain’t real. But you stay on ya ‘business’ my g.”

Tensions escalated from there, with Baby ultimately claiming in his song “Boogeyman” that he and Meg had been romantically entangled days before she was shot by Tory Lanez. He even enlisted a Megan Thee Stallion lookalike in the track’s coinciding music video to drive the point home.

“You play with me, that shit was childish/ The day before she say that Tory Lanez shot her, I was fucking on Megan Thee Stallion/ Waited to say this shit on my next album/ Hit it the day before too/ But I kept it playa, I ain’t say nothing ’bout it,” he raps on the track.

DaBaby had also referenced Megan’s boyfriend, Pardison Fontaine, on “Boogeyman,” rapping: “Had her pretty boy boyfriend tweeting me, ready to die ’bout the bitch like a coward.

The lyrics were in reference to a heated dispute between Pardison and DaBaby on Twitter in June after the latter seemed to make light of Megan’s shooting.

“You a clown ass n-gga doin doin clown ass shit then tryin to back pedal .. n-gga that’s what it is .. u don’t ever gotta address her again,” Pardi tweeted at DaBaby, who replied: “‘You must not know bout mee You must not know bout meeeeeh,'” along with crying face emojis.

Megan then seemingly responded to DaBaby’s claims during a performance at the 2022 iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas.

“So look, I don’t know about y’all but I love my body,” she said to a screaming crowd. “I do what I want to with my body, when I want to with my body, with who I want to with my body. ‘Cause it’s who? My body.”

Most recently, Megan Thee Stallion spoke for the last time about Tory Lanez shooting in an op-ed published with Elle, and said that all of the critics doubting her story almost put her over the edge.

“For years, my attacker laughed and joked about my trauma. For years, my attacker peddled false narratives about what happened on the night of July 12, 2020. For years, my attacker tried to leverage social media to take away my power,” Megan said.

“Imagine how it feels to be called a liar every day? Especially from a person who was once part of your inner circle.”
