As the Hip Hop community and beyond mourns the shocking death of Black Panther actor Chadwick Boseman, another tragedy is reportedly taking place inside the Three 6 Mafia camp. According to VladTV, sources close to Crunchy Black say his daughter was shot and killed while sitting in a car with her boyfriend outside of a her hotel.
WMC5 Memphis reports the shooting took place on Friday (August 28) at the Fair View Inn & Suites on American Way around 3 p.m. local time. A man and woman were both found dead at the scene. One person who arrived shortly after the yellow crime tape went up said the female victim was the 26-year-old mother of his child.
The woman’s aunt, who also showed up at the scene, said she has a son and a daughter, but nobody could identify the male victim. The shooter is reportedly on the run.
Crunchy Black was a longtime member of the Academy Award-winning Hip Hop group but ultimately left in 2006 over monetary disputes. He released his first solo album that same year called On My Own.

Crunchy was once a victim of gun violence. In 2012, he was shot in the face and the leg in Las Vegas but recovered quickly and was released from the hospital just days after the shooting. DJ Paul nor Crunchy Black has addressed the incident on social media.
HipHopDX reached out to a rep for Da Mafia 6ix who was able to confirm her death. This story is still developing.
