looking forward to giving this a listen.. Mega one of my personal all time fav rappers. Sometimes I wonder how his career woulda went had the fallouts with Def Jam, Nas, The Firm, Steve Stoute etc not happened… but I think he’s in a better place overall, even if he never became mainstream popular, he’s had a long career being himself, not selling out, giving us real music for decades now
Why I keep thinking Cormega was in the group The Firm ?
because he was. something business wise happened between him, Nas, and Steve Stoute apparently, where it seemingly was gonna be a bad deal financially for Mega. Perhaps like it was saying everyone else in the group was a bigger star at the time, so he was gonna have to sacrifice some things financially. Anyway, he ended up getting kicked out (without even being formally told) of the group for not signing a production deal or some shit like that… and was replaced by Nature. Not a big loss to Mega in the long run, since he ended up having a great career despite some setbacks, plus The Firm obviously didnt have a long run as a group, and sold way below their expectations… I like Nature, he’s no slouch, but the group woulda been better in its original formation with Mega instead.
one of the best verses ever; cormegas on affirmative action – the firm…do not sleep – This EP is cool
Dope shet…dope artist…hot lava!!! Plus he’s handsome….keep spitting that real
Mega is a true technician on the mic, always has been. Another gem to the catalog.
Mega Montana goes hard we need this
One of the best MC’s alive.
Too bad he never got the recognition he truly deserved. Atleast he’s not a sellout….
THE EP WAS DECENT A LIL TOO FAST FOR ME TIME WISE BUT DEFINTELY A DOPE MATURE MEGA FEEL…. I CAN’T HELP TO FEEL A JOE BUDDEN ESSENCE ON THE PRODUCTION…. BUT THEN AGAIN STREET RUNNER HAS PRODUCED FOR JOE AS WELL…. BUT THE PROJECT IS GREAT! I LOOK FORWARD TO THE CORMEGA ALBUM COMING IN COUPLE WEEKS.
Love seeing these guys still rap circles around the new school.
Yo, I showed Mega mad love, all I did was point out this record’s OBVIOUS flaws, and you erase my comment? That’s weak and not what Hiphop is about.
loved all five enlightened songs
