Queens, New York rapper Cormega [click to read] recently spoke to Street Disciplez Radio about his opinion on Toronto rapper Drake [click to read].
The veteran emcee didn’t have many positive things to say about the Young Money signee, saying, “I can’t fuck with Drake, I like Drake, I like Drake as a young man trying to make money but I can’t take him serious,” revealed Mega in the interview.
The crux of Mega‘s argument was his belief that Drake did not grow up with much adversity. “Number one, he’s rich. He’s rich man. I don’t like when these spoiled rich kids they just get into rap because it’s something they can do but they pops got money and they put ’em in the game and then they start rapping about something, a life they could never live.”
Cormega continued, saying if he were in Drake‘s position, he would have chosen a different profession. “Go do something else. I mean, shit, if I could switch with you, I would be the rich dude, the rich goody good my whole life. Niggas like us rap about sh*t because we lived it. These niggas use rap as a hobby.“
Cormega is, of course, no stranger to beef, as he famously fueded with fellow Queensbridge rapper Nas.
Mega’s always got somethin’ to be mad about I swear. Dudes a beast of a rapper and The Realness is one of the greatest albums I’ve ever heard. But bitchin becuase you have to go through a struggle to rap is just ignorance. It’s not like you have to have your heart broken to be a singer you know.
He right though Drake definitely didn’t come from the. Hood and half white but he seems to almost deny that I’m surprised he uses the n word he has enough white family to know better
