Footwear fans with exclusive taste will be frothing at the mouth at the prospect of becoming the owner of one of A$AP Bari’s VLONE x Nike Air Force 1 sneakers.
Nike produced just 20 of the limited edition kicks for ComplexCon. They are now popping up for sale on various websites and the bidding is getting pretty ferocious. At the time of writing, the most recent bid was a whopping $94,700 on eBay for a pair of size 12s.
We’re forced to assume that the highest bidder has got to be Donald Trump looking for something special for his first strut into the Oval Office.
At the time of publication, the eBay auction had 12 hours left to run, so if you’re reading this, it’s not too late. You might still be in with a chance to claim these special edition kicks.
Speaking to Complex about the collaboration, A$AP Bari said “This sneaker might be wack to people, it might be amazing to others, it might be the most powerful sneaker in 10 years…you don’t know where it’s going to lead to. I don’t like to predict myself, I just like to sit back and relax and see where this is at in 10 years.
“People might say, ’10 years ago, that sneaker was actually dope. The leather was on point. I can still wear those today, the leather doesn’t crease.’”
Judging by the bidding, it seems like at least a few people think they’re in the amazing category.
