Childish Gambino has fired back at his haters by offering a humorous preview of a new track on social media.

On his TikTok, the rapper and actor posted a short clip of somebody criticizing him by saying: “Here are the reasons I don’t fuck with Donald Glover.”

The video then switches to a close up of Glover looking fed up while a new song plays in the background and includes the lyrics: “He’s finding out that nobody gives a fuck.”

Gambino had posted a longer snippet of the track earlier this week which sees him in singing mode, similar to his “Awaken, My Love!” album, rather than his older, more rap-centric material.

The track, tentatively titled “Lithonia (Nobody Gives a Fuck),” could land on Gambino’s upcoming album, Bando Stone in the New World.

That will serve as his second album of 2024 following last month’s Atavista, which is billed as the “finished” version of his 2020 LP 3.15.20 (which has since been removed from streaming platforms).

The changes are more subtle than drastic as Atavista features a slightly reworked tracklist, updated mixes and new vocals from Young Nudy and Summer Walker, in addition to previous guests like 21 Savage and Ariana Grande.

Set to arrive this summer, Bando Stone in the New World is expected to be Gambino’s last album under his rap moniker and will also serve as the soundtrack for a film of the same name he is working on.

Finally, Gambino and co. will jet to New Zealand and Australia early next year for five dates, bringing the globe-trekking tour to a close.

Away from music, it was recently confirmed that Donald Glover will not be returning for season two of Mr & Mrs Smith despite the show receiving high praise and a renewal from Amazon Prime Video.
