A benefit concert to honor a child killed in Chicago and scheduled to feature Chief Keef was postponed, according to the Chicago Tribune.
Organizers initially blamed a local priest for interfering with the event. They said that he “bullied” the host venue to back out of its contract. The priest, Rev. Michael Pfleger, denies involvement. Pfleger did, however, write a Facebook post criticizing Chief Keef for not speaking out against violence before the concert was pushed back.
Chief Keef was expected to appear at the concert as a hologram while he sang from Beverly Hills, California. Admission to the event was a minimum donation of $50 and the performance was going to be live-streamed.
The Chicago rapper and event host were going to match the amount raised and give all of the proceeds to the family of Dillan Harris. The one-year-old was killed when a car hit his stroller. The driver was allegedly fleeing the scene of a shooting where Marvin “Capo” Carr was killed. Capo was a local rapper and affiliate of Chief Keef’s.

Father Pfleger, a white Catholic priest, is known for helping his all black community. This dude is crazy committed. He was doing a lot and I remember him and his parish being in the news when I used to live in Chicago. I don’t even know the deal of this story, but I’ll side with this dude who cares about us black people more than Keef who helped continue the cycle of murder and mayhem in Englewood.
Co-sign. With all the negativity about the Catholic Church in the news sometimes, it’s good to know there are guys like this priest doing good for his community and helping people.
Fuck keef if he really cared he would meet the family and cut her a check or something for the mean time, sad that that little boy died so incently,y couldnt the lord take keef life instead really y the kid….
all his music is overly violent. Would have made for a really negative benefit concert. Big ups to St. Sabina lol
I’m not supporting the violence in chicago but why do people expect chief to speak out against violence when that was his reality about 4 years ago. Dude is 20 years old he’s probably not thinking about how to help the whole city 24/7 if anything he’s probably still more worried about helping his block/gang get out than the violence going on . Just because he “made it out” doesnt mean his maturity automatically increases. Just something to think about.
one of the realest comments I ever read here
Fuck this nigga nothing positive bout this dirt bag plus,,,what would be really positive is if they would stop playing his dum asss music that sounds like he,s always throwing up,for real, black ball this bastard….
