Chance The Rapper and his wife Kristen Corley have decided to end their marriage after five years together.
The couple issued a joint statement on the Chicago native’s Instagram Stories on Wednesday (April 3) to inform the public about their split.
“After a period of separation, the two of us have arrived at the decision to part ways,” the statement reads. “We came to this decision amicably and with gratitude for the time we spent together.
“God has blessed us with two beautiful daughters who we will continue to raise together. We kindly ask for privacy and respect as we navigate this transition. Thank you, Chance & Kirsten.”

The pair got married in 2019 and have two daughters together: 7-year-old Kensli and 4-year-old Marli. Their wedding ceremony took place at the Pelican Hill resort in Newport Beach, California, with 150 of their closest friends and family in attendance.
Their marriage, however, was not without its issues.
Back in 2022, the Acid Rap hitmaker began trending on Twitter after fans discovered that he’d been interacting with explicit content that featured trans men and women.
In response, Corley took to Instagram to directly address the “trolls” for harassing her husband and said: “Y’all really be reaching. He’s never going to address this, but all I have to say is we were at an event all night last night — not last night, the night before last, until late. We were celebrating, so, sometimes shit happens on accident.”
Before ending the video, she added: “So, all y’all little trolls coming to my page that are getting blocked, y’all can go to hell.”
A year later, Chance was back in the headlines when he was spotted dancing with an unidentified woman while celebrating his 30th birthday during the Jamaican Carnival. A video of the incident prompted a sea of responses online, with many accusing the MC of cheating on his spouse.
His partner once again took to social media and posted what many perceived as a cryptic response to all the criticism, highlighting a quote from Maya Angelou’s Letter to My Daughter about people who refuse to grow up.
“Most people don’t grow up. It’s too damn difficult,” it read. “What happens is most people get older. That’s the truth of it. They honor their credit cards, they find parking spaces, they marry, they have the nerve to have children, but they don’t grow up. Not really.
“They get older. But to grow up costs the earth, the earth. It means you take responsibility for the time you take up, for the space you occupy. It’s serious business. And you find out what it costs us to love and to lose, to dare and to fail. And maybe even more, to succeed.”
In the caption, she wrote: “I hope one day, we all choose to grow up.”
y’all gonna learn that monogamy shit doesn’t work. esp with modern women. leave them out to dry and life your life.
ps. I am gay
She look like a male yet she’s had kids unless they were adopted, she looks trans though

I’m sure he’s blamed white people for this
Y’all sound straight up insane
Well I just hope we won’t get another trash album about his wife and his love life now…
We can all sit here and down Mr Rapper, Chance The. But hey, how many of you have had a girlfriend for 5 years? We have to learn the true meaning of marriage. It’s not all the things we are hoping and wishing for. It’s total commitment, on both sides. We just don’t get that
Definitely..a marriage can end anytime. Didn’t shit on him cause of that. Been seeing couples married for 20 and divorce this year. It happens.
Just hope he makes a better album out if it than last time…
