Cardi B Co-Sign Leaves Bronx Rapper Scar Lip In Tears: ‘My Dreams Just Came True’

Cardi B’s co-sign has left fellow Bronx rapper Scar Lip in tears as she continues to take steps in elevating her career.

The Invasion of Privacy hitmaker co-signed Scar on her Instagram Stories on Monday night (May 1) after stealing the show at the 2023 Met Gala in New York City.

Cardi reposted a clip of Scar Lip from The Neighborhood Talk‘s Instagram page showing the burgeoning rhymer rocking a black dress and mask ready to partake in the Met Gala celebrations.

“I love her,” Cardi B captioned her Story, sending a heartwarming message of support to Scar Lip.

The rap rookie could barely contain her excitement and quickly posted a video on IG capturing her disbelief, to the point she was tearing up and kneeling on the floor due to Cardi showing her love.

“Cardi B just posted me,” she said while crying tears of joy. “She inspired me. She from The Bronx, bro. I’m from The Bronx. She showed us young girls we could make it and we could be something, bro. I can’t fucking believe this shit. We did it.”

“My dreams just came true @iamcardib just said she loves me I can’t take this,” she added in her caption.

Supportive messages filled Scar Lip’s comments section as Latto, Tony Yayo, Lola Brooke and more applauded her life-affirming moment.

“love this for you!!” Latto wrote, while Lola commented: Congratulations scar [love heart emoji].”

Wack 100 added: “@iamcardib IS THE KING OF QUEENS OF HIP HOP . SUPPORTS HER PEOPLE AND SHOWS EXTREM LOVE …. PLEASE SIS DONT CHANGE YOUR 1 OF A KIND. @scar_lip KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK.”

The stamps of approval are starting to pile up as Scar Lip received another major co-sign last month when Swizz Beatz recruited her for his Hip Hop 50: Vol. 2 EP, which saw the 22-year-old rap alongside New York giants Jadakiss and Benny The Butcher on “Take ‘Em Out.”

Rocking New York Knicks gear, the “This Is New York” rapper also appeared on Hot 97 in April to deliver a hard-hitting freestyle for Funk Flex, which only further added to her buzz around the industry.
