It will almost be about four years since Cardi B dropped her last studio album, Invasion of Privacy, and fans are thirsty for a proper follow-up. Since dropping her debut, Cardi has released a handful of singles such as “WAP” with Megan Thee Stallion and “Up,” but she’s long overdue for a project.
Fans got a sigh of relief recently when a clip of Cardi B putting in time at the studio surfaced online. The video doesn’t show Cardi herself but the make-shift studio that someone on her team created in her home for her to get work in. It wasn’t the best-looking studio as someone placed a large blanket over the microphone, but it was better than nothing.
“Look what Ed built me in this ghetto ass studio,” Cardi said before laughing at the set-up.
While she’s recording new music, Cardi is finding time to do other things such as contemplating a face tattoo. The 29-year-old took to Twitter early Monday (January 17), where she revealed that she’s very close to adding some ink to her face in honor of her toddler son who was born September 4, 2021.
“Random but …. I’m 1% close too tatting my sons name on my face….I really really wanna do it,” she wrote before telling a fan she wanted to get the tattoo along her jawline.
It’s important to note Cardi’s fans were hoping she wouldn’t get the tat for fear of losing her corporate partnerships. Those people even went as far as digging up an old tweet of Cardi’s saying she was happy she never got a face tattoo at 16 years old.
Studio matches the artist so perfect fit
the production will be awful then.
better stuff has been made in worst studio. CARDI do ya Thang. OffSET gonna murder that room.
Am I the only one who not only think she’s garbage but don’t find her attractive at all. She reminds me of too many crazed baby mommas on Maury except with money. Once the money goes away, what do you have? Headache, Heartache, Child Support, and Herpes lol. Don’t want none of that.
I’m sure there’s people with way nicer studios who haven’t made close to what Cardi B made lol so f**k it
Half of the shit on the radio gets recorded in studios like this. They use mcdonalds cup holders tacked to the wall to sound proof a booth made from a closet and it works just as good. All that fancy studio shit is just for show to charge more. A good mic works good anywhere. Then send the files to whoever gonna mix and master the shit. Save money.
That cardboard thing doesn`t work. No audio engineer would choose that over some thick blankets lol
It’s all post production for sure. However in this scenario I would think this is just to get the vibe going, get rough reference recordings and then go into the real studio and lay down the tracks.
Trash just like the “artist”
She’s not my type of style, she’s cool for the radio, and personally, I’d fuck her. But all jokes aside, she’s very vocal and a stand-up type gal, much respect for Cardi B
Studio doesn’t matter, final product matters and we all know trash is expected.
Well her first had some good song on it, curious to see what her second will be like. Definitely not going to buy it…but my friend spotify is there.
Also anyone heard news about the ”supposed” tupac boxset of rare songs coming this year?

I disagree. The space and acoustic treatment change the sound immeasurably. One of the most common mistakes from beginners is ignoring acoustic treatment in favour of electronic devices ie mics, pre-amps. If you don’t have decent acoustic treatment, your not going to really hear the difference between a $500 and a $2000 dollar mic. At the very least, get yourself a reflection filter for around $300. you won’t be able to believe the difference it makes.
There is NO WAY she’s using that for her new studio album. That is likely for writing and demos.
