Cardi B, DJ Khaled & Kendrick Lamar Lead Nominations For 2017 BET Hip Hop Awards

    BET has announced this year’s nominees for the BET Hip Hop Awards. Cardi B, DJ Khaled and Kendrick Lamar lead way with each receiving nine nominations.

    After being nominated for Best Female Rapper at the BET Awards earlier this year, Cardi B is sitting pretty with nine nominations for BET’s Hip Hop Award show. Her hit single “Bodak Yellow” earned a nomination for Best Hip Hop Video. She’s also nominated for the Best New Hip Hop Artist.

    Multi-Platinum record producer DJ Khaled’s nominations include Album of the Year for Grateful, Best Hip Hop Video for “Wild Thoughts” featuring Rihanna and Bryson Tiller and naturally, DJ of The Year.

    Kendrick Lamar’s Dave Meyer’s-directed visual “HUMBLE.” has been nominated for Best Hip Hop Video. K. Dot has also been nominated for Album of the Year for DAMN. and Lyricist of the Year.

    The 2017 award show takes place at The Fillmore Miami Beach at Jackie Gleason Theater in Miami Beach, Florida on October 6 and airs on October 10 at 8 p.m. EST/PST. Check out all of the nominees below.
