Cardi B has hit out at critics who questioned to include old songs such as “WAP” and “Up” on her new album Am I the Drama?
The tracks were released in 2020 and 2021 respectively but Cardi confirmed that both hit singles will land on her forthcoming project which is going to include 23 songs.
On X, Cardi explained why she put the old songs on her album: “This will be the last and only time I’m gonna address this.. ‘WAP’ and ‘Up’ are two of my biggest songs, my fans have been asking me to put them on an album, and people search for them on IOP all the time… they deserve a home..
“I let haters make me not submit ‘WAP’ for the Grammy’s and at this point I’m giving my fans what they want! These two songs don’t even count for first week sales so what are yall even crying about??? Do ya say anything when all these artist pull out all their little tricks and ponies to sell out??? Exactly….Now let them eat cake. Go cry about it!!!”

Cardi finally announced her long-awaited sophomore album, Am I the Drama? earlier this week.
Coming seven years after her groundbreaking debut Invasion of Privacy, the album will drop on September 19.
Cardi also unveiled the project’s distinctive artwork which features her in an elaborate red dress surrounded by two crows.
The pioneering female MC would also drop a video on Instagram detailing her long journey to her sophomore effort.
In the clip, Cardi says: “Seven years and the time has come. Seven years of love, light and loss. Seven years I gave them grace, but now I give them hell. I learned power’s not giving, it’s taking. I’m shedding feathers and no more tears. I’m not back, I’m beyond. I’m not your villain, I’m your karma. The time is here. The time is now.”
Last Friday, Cardi dropped “Outside”, the first single from the album.
On the record, she took aim at estranged husband, Offset, as they continue to negotiate a divorce.
On the song, she spits: “Good-for-nothing, low-down dirty dogs, I’m convinced / Next time you see your mama, tell her how she raised a bitch.”
It’s cuz she talentless and has absolutely no creative ability to make songs of her own. She doesn’t even write her own lyrics. She and Drake are what’s wrong with the industry.
Why yall love Drake so much? He gets mentioned more than anyone here.
Maybe because drake bastardized hip hop more than Soulja boy or lil John ever could’ve dreamed. The man literally created the genre of auto tune fuck boy beta male rap with ghosts making his lyrics.
Lil john wtf he done wrong????
Conry to the max. Your fans are clowns and would never care if the digital album they stream ever had these songs included. It’s a marketing tactic and nothing more. I wish cobra clutch was on a Ghostface album but I’d never bitch about it and wouldn’t support the actual decision to do it.(yes I know it was on the swarm vl1)
The hypocrisy. Ghostface Killah put that corny Back Like That Remix with NEYO and Kanye on 3 different albums. Bad example bro.
Thats not even close. foolish example.
Lol you ass bro. Smart dumb nicca for real nah mean. How is BACK LIKE THAT REMIX on More Fish, Wizard of Poetry, and Ghostdeini the Great not the same shit or even worse than Cardi releasing a 5 year old song? Ghost or Def Jam clearly were chasing clout with the Kanye feature. BAD BAD EXAMPLE BRO.
You’re a legit goof for real. Ghostface has solidified his position in hip hop with Ironman, Supreme clientele, bullet proof wallets, pretty Tony that’s why it’s stupid ass comparison!!!! He didn’t need to pander after one corny ass album with a hit that’s several years old to move merchandise while still in his prime. Def jam clearly forced him to do that and that’s how many albums on to his discography? You don’t want none of this smoke rookie. Goof movements for real.
I blame all of you simps out there who made this talentless hooker famous
If you have to add a 5 year old song to your brand new album, you are talentless. Lol.
You know hip hop is dead if Cardi B is one of the most famous rappers.
Why does the music industry have no good female rappers?
Thats a bad take and you know it!
i’m not reading this, its obviously for sales.
Her coochie is so sopping wet she had to drip it on another album
Seven years to drop your sophmore album is 🤮.
It’s money for old rope, that’s pretty much it. Just don’t delude yourself into thinking it’s anything more meaningful than that.
