Cardi B has finally announced her long-awaited second album, titled Am I the Drama?

Coming seven years after her groundbreaking debut Invasion of Privacy, the album will drop on September 19.

Cardi also unveiled the project’s distinctive artwork which features her in an elaborate red dress surrounded by two crows.

The pioneering female MC would also drop a video on Instagram detailing her long journey to her sophomore effort.

In the clip, Cardi says: “Seven years and the time has come. Seven years of love, light and loss. Seven years I gave them grace, but now I give them hell. I learned power’s not giving, it’s taking. I’m shedding feathers and no more tears. I’m not back, I’m beyond. I’m not your villain, I’m your karma. The time is here. The time is now.”

Cardi had previously intimated that she was waiting on several features before the album was finished.

She said on X Spaces: “I really need these fucking features. And it’s like I’m not really trying to press or go crazy on these artists because I love them down. But it’s like come on now! I need that! I need that right now!

On the song, she spits: “Good-for-nothing, low-down dirty dogs, I’m convinced / Next time you see your mama, tell her how she raised a bitch.”

Cardi also raps: “I been cuffed up too long, let me remind n-ggas.”

The “Bodak Yellow” MC also makes reference to new boyfriend, Stefon Diggs: “Favorite player from your favorite team, he in my DM, uh / I’m so small and tiny, he so big and tall / Might let him dunk this pussy like he dunk the ball.”

Offset is yet to respond to the song but did release his own new track “Bodies” featuring JID which did not include any reference to Cardi and their ongoing divorce.
