Cardi B Amplifies Sexual Assault Awareness Month: ‘The Shame Is Not Yours To Carry’

Cardi B is not one to shy away from speaking up for those unable to do so themselves. She’s an avid supporter of sociopolitical and human rights issues, and she recently jumped on Twitter to shout out a population that’s raising awareness this month.

On Thursday (April 21), the leader of the Bardi gang took to her Twitter account to help spread awareness for Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Cardi wanted to remind her fans that there are people who can’t speak up for themselves as a result of their assault.

“Before April is over, don’t forget it’s sexual assault awareness month, no means no,” Cardi B tweeted. “It doesn’t matter what you wear, it doesn’t matter who you are, male or female. For anyone going through this, the shame is not yours to carry … it’s the monsters who do this. #SAAM2022.”

She continued, “Also parents we can’t forget our children. There are sick people everywhere, daycare, schools, you name it. Make sure you teach them from a early age, no one is to touch your private parts & never be afraid to tell mommy & daddy when someone makes you uncomfortable. #SAAM2022.”

Cardi continued her support on Instagram, saying it’s essential to give those who were sexually assaulted the space to tell their stories without fear of receiving judgment from people who claim it was their fault. The “Up” rapper said awareness is the key to stopping the cruel acts.

“Women, children, and even men should never have to feel like they should be silenced or ashamed for telling their story and holding sick ass people accountable,” Cardi wrote in the caption. “It’s ok to speak up! We have to be more careful in protecting ourselves and our children by teaching them that there are no secrets when it comes to mommy and daddy.”

She continued, “Everyday I pray for my children, my family, and my friends because people are really sick but you know wanna know something? When one person speaks up it helps others see they are not alone. #SAAM2022.”

    1. Are people blind nowadays ? This woman literally drugged and sexually assaulted men.
Now she does Nickolodeon shows and interviews presidents. America is a mess

    2. Coming from the whore/prostitute who sold her soul and poisoned a generation of young girls to justification of sexual exploitation .
Worst part is she’s out here playing happy families while her music goes against the norms of women having respected equality.

    3. I came here to mention this nasty chick’s past but you guys already beat me to it. I hate how people like her can get rich and famous despite having a horrible past of terrible actions. Now she’s making “music” and kids idolize her. What a mess.

      1. It is a mess, no doubt. This pig wouldn’t be rich and famous if people didn’t like her and buy her shit. That’s what disturbs me the most. Another example of a very sick society.

    4. The same bitch who rufied dudes, set them up with trans “women” then robbed them. That’s rich.
