Cam’ron has mocked basketball player-turned-rapper LiAngelo Ball after he claimed that he was a better rapper than the Dipset legend.

Speaking on his sports talk show It Is What It Is on Tuesday (February 4), Killa Cam issued a sneering response to Ball’s audacious comments, suggesting that he’s the first hooper to suffer from the brain condition CTE (Chronic traumatic encephalopathy).

“I’ve never seen a basketball player-slash-rapper with CTE,” he said, prompting his co-host Ma$e to crack up. “There’s no other way to explain it! I’ve never seen it before.

“I thought it was a boxing or football thing, but obviously rappers-slash-basketball players can get it too.”

The Harlem native also took issue with Ball, who recently siged a lucrative deal with Def Jam after the viral success of his debut single “Tweaker,” attempting to rewrite the narrative about their brewing beef.

“In the interview he said, ‘N-ggas be talking about me’ — I guess he’s referring to us. He was like, ‘I knew I had this coming down the pipeline’ — pause.

“First of all: okay, cool. We didn’t know you rapped like that. Whatever. Why do n-ggas keep moving the goalpost? We said you’re not a professional basketball player. I don’t understand how n-ggas keep switching.

“I never said he couldn’t rap. I didn’t even know he did rap. And we can tell how quickly he switched his occupation.”

Cam’ron also addressed Ball’s claim that he’s the better basketball player: “N-ggas be forgetting how old [we are]. I look good, I’m in shape, I’m fly [but] I’m older than Tim Duncan, I’m older than Kevin Garnett. This is how old I am. I just look good, man. Fuck I look like running a full?

“Now, if you want me to put some money up on some n-gga that I think could beat you that didn’t even go to college, I got a bunch of them n-ggas. N-ggas talking ’bout, ‘Killa, take the one-on-one with Gelo.’ N-gga, I’m 48 years old! What the fuck do I look like playing a n-gga one-one-one?”

LiAngelo Ball’s comments about Cam’ron came during a recent interview with Complex where he said: “I think I rap colder than him. Basketball? Colder than them n-ggas. I’m not over here like, ‘Dang, he said I can’t do this.’ I knew this shit was coming. I just be keeping it cool.”

He added: “Other people gonna [disagree], that’s their legend. I’m not disrespecting him […] I’m feeling like I’m up there with my music.”

Friction has been building between the two in recent months after Cam mocked Ball for not being good enough to make it in the NBA like his brothers LaMelo and Lonzo.

The former G League player hit back by downplaying Killa’s rap career and claiming he is not a top 10 MC.
