Cam’ron has claimed that he originally wrote Dipset hit “I Really Mean It” for Lil Kim but she didn’t want the song.
Speaking on a recent episode of his sports talk show It Is What It Is, Cam revealed: “I did write a song for Lil’ Kim and she didn’t want it, and the lyrics changed and I ended up keeping it for myself.”
He continued: “It was one of my biggest records, but I wrote ‘I Really Mean It’ for Lil’ Kim. Same format, and she didn’t like it. That’s one of the best things, ’cause that’s one of my close-out songs, to be totally honest with you, and she didn’t want the song. I’m happy she didn’t.”
Killa Cam also said he was behind 3LW hit “No More (Baby I’ma Do Right)”.
He said: “I wrote for 3 Little Women. The single, I’m in the credits, I wrote that. ‘Promises, promises’? That’s me. I penned that joint. We’re real creative, just tap in, man.”
Conversely, former Dipset member Jim Jones has claimed that he wrote on “every” Cam’ron album as the two continue feuding.
Sitting down for a chat on Way Up with Angela Yee, Jones said: “I helped him write every one of his albums. Every one of his albums. From his first album up to Come Home With Me.”
He added: “I always knew how to rap, I just didn’t know how to rap good. I always knew how to do bars. Yeah, I done near write all his music. And I commend him for figuring out how to do something else.
“They always say never bite the hand that feeds you but he never fed me, I fed myself.”
Killa Cam has yet to respond to Jones’ claims and has previously said that he would no longer be responding publicly to his former Diplomat comrade following their highly publicized falling out which has led to diss tracks, boxing match challenges and a social media spat.
Cam also claimed hat Ma$e taught Jones how to rap, playing several clips of the rapper admitting as such.
“We taught you how to rap, n-gga. How you ran the whole organization? How you made Diplomats?” he asked rhetorically. “N-gga, you ain’t made none of this! You were a fan. I put you down ’cause you had a free crib and you were a nice guy.”
*Big Kim
Thank God she didn’t want it. That definitely wasn’t meant for her
oh yeah did yuh?
He wrote that 3LW song too. Sometimes, I don’t think these people realize that claiming some of this shit isn’t the flex they think it is, lol. You don’t see Nas going around being like you know I wrote Get Jiggy with it for Will, don’t you? That was all me, lol.
Will Smith a clown ass n-word and a certified weirdo. His son is his daughter now or some shit. Typical Hollyweird shit going on with the Smith’s.
It is a flex, it shows range fool. He can write for anyone.
