Cam’ron & Ma$e Hit Back At J. Prince Over Shakur Stevenson Threat: ‘I Lost Mad Respect For You’

Cam’ron and Ma$e have fired back at J. Prince for attempting to back them down over their criticism of Shakur Stevenson.

This past weekend, the Rap-A-Lot Records founder stepped into the heated spat between the Harlem rappers and New Jersey boxer (who he manages), warning them that he “will fade all [Stevenson’s] shots and take all bets.”

On Monday (July 15)’s episode of their sports talk show It Is What It Is, Killa Cam and Murda addressed Prince’s threatening post and refused to tap out.

“You gon’ take all his fades and take all his shots? Alright, so then we talking to you then. Since you the big homie, we starting with you,” Ma$e began.

“When you dealing with older people, they’re the last to know that things have changed. We not your lil’ n-ggas. All that big homie stuff, that’s for little n-ggas. We’re not little n-ggas so we don’t even respect big homies! I know Killa doesn’t, and for me? I never respected n-ggas in the streets.”

The former Bad Boy rapper went on to criticize J. Prince for fighting Stevenson’s battles instead of setting him straight as any O.G. should, adding: “If you 60 years old and you tryna be a street n-gga, you failed.”

He also claimed that he recently spoke to the Texas rap mogul on a FaceTime call with Kanye West and their conversation was positive.

“So I don’t even know why he would come at me with that energy. I felt really disrespected. It’s certain people you supposed to come at like that and I’m not one of them,” he said.

After applauding his co-host’s comments, Cam’ron questioned why J. Prince called out him and Ma$e over their criticism of Shakur Stevenson but didn’t say anything to Kendrick Lamar for dissing Drake, who he has a close relationship with.

The Dipset legend also brought up Prince’s past feud with NBA YoungBoy: “You 60, n-gga! What is you talking about?! Bro, I lost mad respect for you. ‘Cause I used to have mad respect for you.

“You had Shakur with you, when you lined NBA YoungBoy up! Why the fuck you got Shakur with you — and this is why he acted like that, talking about you got YoungBoy and the keys to his car. NBA YoungBoy told y’all n-ggas to eat a dick.”

Cam added: “Why do you think that you can tell us what we can and cannot say. Control your n-gga! Ain’t nobody gon’ tell a n-gga, ‘Get the strap’ and then we gon’ sit there and be like, ‘I think we should shut up.’

“Nah, n-gga! This is not 1982, bro. You buggin’, James. I don’t know what bet you talking about and all that other slang. Whatever bet you talking about, bet it!”

The drama erupted last week when Cam’ron and Ma$e criticized Shakur Stevenson’s recent world title defense against Artem Harutyunyan for being “boring.”

The boxer countered by launching into a social media rant about the duo, challenging them to “glove up or shut up” while mocking their appearance.

Cam responded with some tough talk of his own by threatening to “slap fire” out of Stevenson.

You getting boxing and the streets confused, n-gga. Those are two different things, n-gga,” he warned. “‘Cause when a switchblade or something else [come out] … You talking about n-ggas better strap up. Why would you give n-ggas that heads up, you dumb muthafucka?

He added: “If you want to impress me, step up in weight, fight Teofimo [Lopez] in Newark so he can knock your head to Irvington, n-gga. Fuck is you talking about?”

    1. I can’t say I disagree with the response. J. Prince ain’t doing Stevenson (who is a grown man) any favors.

    2. Somebody need to tell this old ass irrelevant hag J. Prince that numbers DO LIE. They lie A LOT. These days you got bots and click farms pumping up numbers and back in the day you had labels purchasing 25,000 or more copies of their own artists album to boost their actual sales numbers. J. Prince you 60 years old and softer than a piece of cake just sit the fuck down and shut the fuck up.

    3. A broke clock is right twice a day. I don’t really fxck with Cam and Mase but I agree 100 percent on this. That J Prince dude is negative energy personified.

    4. J.Prince didn’t go after Kendrick Lamar because he knew the beef was fake. It was concocted by Universal for profits. Everybody got a piece of the cake including Drake and J. Prince.

      1. Bro there’s nothing fake bout Drake n Kendricks.beef…the shits been brewing for sometime now…but yes all parties benefitted

      2. @Panther 999 the beef is fake. If it was real, J. Prince would have had words for Drake, like he had words for Suge Knight, Puffy, and Pusha T. Also, how come isn’t trying to squash like he “squashed” Drake’s beef with Kanye West?

    5. First episode I watched of killa and murda but they definitely got a fan now. Now just click bait (espn) hot takes but just real talk.

      1. They’re speaking like they can whoop someone, whether in the ring or streets. These mofo’s have a combined record of 0-4.

    6. Everyone involved is too old for this. Including us. The main feeling I get reading these hiphop ‘articles’ is embarrassment. Why do I feel embarrassment I ask myself? I think I’m embarrassed that I believed for such a large chunk of my life that rappers were anything more than very immature adults who never grew up. Then I feel embarrassed that my community has not evolved at all. Then I feel embarrassed that this website and all ‘hiphop’ websites are fueled by beef and salaciousness because there is no real SUBSTANCE in hiphop culture anymore. There is no culture. Just scavengers picking at the remains.
