Boots Riley has dropped the trailer for his new television series I’m a Virgo which will premiere on Amazon Prime Video.

On Monday (March 6), Boots Riley posted the 1:11 trailer on Twitter which stars Jharrel Jerome, Mike Epps, and Olivia Washington, to name a few. In the trailer, Virgo, played by Jerome, is working to cultivate a normal life as a 13-foot Black man. Throughout the trailer, Epps, who plays his father, gives him sound advice as he goes through life’s maturation process while dealing with family, and friends.

Boots Riley changed his bio to reflect the importance of the upcoming show.

“I have a show about a 13ft tall Black man who lives in Oakland, CA,” Riley explained. “It’s called I’m A Virgo. We’ll premiere it at SXSW and release it later in the year.”

Upon the release of the trailer, many Twitter users responded with excitement.

Boots Riley, who’s a filmmaker and the frontman of rap group The Coup, made his directorial film debut with the dark comedy Sorry To Bother You in 2018. The movie starred Lakeith Stanfield, Danny Glover, Terry Crews and Tessa Thompson and garnered exceptional reviews from not only numerous critics but also his peers.

Jordan Peele said on Twitter in 2018 that Boots Riley is an amazing director who has his own curated style of filmmaking.
