After introducing the rap game to a new style of flow, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony seemed to lose the tight unit they started with. After several solo projects from each member and reported feud among each other, the group’s break up rumors seemed to be true. “When you get some sh– that’s good and you see it try to do something different, people can’t handle that”, Wish said about everyone pursing solo projects in addition to their group effort. “Rumors get out. We’re always going to come together to do the music”.
Several of Bone Thugs problems seemed to stem from years of feuding with CEO of Ruthless Records and Eazy-E widow, Tomica Wright. “Basically we had to fight to get what we wanted in order for us to get down with Ruthless the way we was gonna get down with them”, Lazyie said. “What I think made things a lot easier is when we took a stand as a unit, as a whole”, Bizzy added. After serious contract renegotiations, Bone Thugs are now satisfied with their deal. This summer Bone is slated to drop their new album Thug World Order with a few guest appearances from Avant, Mr. Kane and Bobby Brown, who is both singing and rapping on a untitled track. “Dude is like Tupac. He’s off the hook. He wrote the rap in his head in like five minutes”, Layzie said of Bobby Brown.
“When people hear it, they gonna say, OK, OK”, Bizzy chips in. He’s holding his own too”. Look for additional tracks such as “Bad Weed Blues”, Not My Baby”, and “Cleveland Rocks”.
