Bobby Shmurda Still In Jail; Suing NYPD For False Arrest

Bobby Shmurda appeared in Brooklyn Federal Court, yesterday, April 29, in an effort to lend some credibility to his argument that he has been targeted by law enforcement because he his young, black and successful.

The “Hot Nigga” rapper, born Ackquille Pollard, is suing the New York Police Department for alleged false gun and drug charges stemming from a June 3, 2014 arrest he says caused him “permanent nervous shock and mental anguish.”

NYDailyNews reports that Shmurda, 21, claims he was simply minding his business while hanging at a friend’s residence in Rockaway Parkway when police busted in, teased him by chanting the lyrics to his “chart-topping songs” as they apprehended him.

“When one of the occupants opened the door a slight bit to see who was there, Officer Douglas Corso and other police officers kicked in the door and illegally entered the residence without a search warrant,” part of the lawsuit read.

In contrast, the NYPD are claiming Shmurda was attempting to stash the firearm in the couch.

The Daily News also reported that Shmurda was free on “$2 million bail.” Complex reached out to his lawyer who confirmed his client was still in custody, which has been his fate for one year, four months and fourteen days.

On April 18, two of Shmurda’s GS9 associates were convicted for the 2013 murder of a teen rival in Brooklyn. Shmurda is due back in court for the start of his trial in May.

      1. U sound dumm af. He suing the Ho-lice for putting him behind bars and lying about chit he didnt do. You know how common that is and how many people are in jail for crimes they did not commit??? You idiot. Would you want to be in prison/jail for something you didnt do? I think not. And if he “snitching” then hes snitching on some snitches that deserve what they get. F**k the police.

    1. most people in society are glad he’s still locked up. he’s a danger to all little kids. Especially little boys.

    2. His songs laid out his crime sprees and gang involvement altered the fact not sing them with pinpoint accuracy

    3. “teased him by chanting the lyrics to his “chart-topping songs” as they apprehended him.” They were doing it because he was a stupid teenager who openly boasted about being in a gang and pointed the finger at his friend who committed a violent felony. Cops love stupid rappers that confess to crimes and criminal behavior in songs.

      1. He Didn’t confess to shit It’s a song If everyone took a song serious everyone deserves to be dead
