Ryan Coogler’s cash cow will become the first film to be screened in a Saudi Arabian theatre in over 35 years, Variety reports.
Movie theatres in Saudi Arabia were banned in the early 80s after the country adopted super conservative religious standards in 1979.
Disney and Italia Film will be premiering the movie April 18 in the Saudi capital of Riyadh with a gala-premiere at an ultra-luxury AMC-branded movie theater located within the city’s financial district. The cinema house is said to boast of 600 leather seats and marble bathrooms as well.
