Birdman has always endorsed his greatness probably more than anyone else in the music industry, and he’s now taken this practice a step further by asserting his own legacy in a new documentary.

On Thursday (June 25), the Cash Money Records mogul shared the trailer for Ma$termind, a film about his accomplishments as a businessman. The clip features shots inside his yacht embellished with soundbites of the New Orleans native praising himself, saying things such as: “I might be ghetto but I’m smart.”

The visual package brands Birdman as “The most influential CEO mogul in the history of the music business with the longest run in the rap game.”

“Ain’t no n-gga had a longer run than me,” he can be heard saying as the above text appears across the screen. “No n-gga in Hip Hop will ever have a longer run than me.”

In March, the 54-year-old record executive took to Instagram (in a since-deleted post) to drag Billboard for not crediting the Hip Hop CEOs who have helped the culture. In his post, Birdman included a picture of the Billboard logo and claimed he’s the best CEO Hip Hop has had in its 50 years.

“@billboard I see you’ll did 10 best rappers which is well respeked but what about tha CEO who made thaway for these rappers to be Supa stars fought tha battle behind doors,” he wrote. “So they kan be super stars put some respek on my name and stop playin with me I’m tha best to ever doit nothing but love for all CEO ever in 50yrs of hip hop we held it down cash money rich gang STUNNAMAN tha best ever #THEGOATMAKER I doit do 4MS GLADYS #dont lie @cashmoneyofficial.”

A month before that, he expressed the same sentiment in a post reminiscent of former Chicago Bulls general manger, Jerry Krause, who notoriously said: “Players and coaches alone don’t win championships; organizations win championships.”

Regarding the 50th anniversary of Hip Hop, Baby wrote in yet another since-deleted Instagram post that CEOs are the reason the culture is celebrating half a century of existence.

“Im confused about 50yrs of Hip Hop where they salute legendary artists which is well respeked also I think CEOs who kept these artists alive to be great showed them how to keep hip hop alive should be saluted in a major way,” Birdman wrote. “I remember wen they said Hip Hop was dead and we Kept it alive YMCMB 20plus summers respek our hussle CEO s kept hip hop alive frfr @cashmoneyofficial #RICHGANG #STUNNAMAN.”
