Quality Control’s SCY Jimm has spoken out about the leaked footage that allegedly shows the rapper cooperating with law enforcement during a recent traffic stop.
The footage was leaked online by 1090 Jake shortly after Jimm was shot multiple times earlier this month while trying to park his car in Daytona Beach. While Jimm can’t visibly be seen in the aforementioned bodycam footage, he can be heard in the background answering officers’ questions as they search his car.

Some fans were quick to criticize the QC lyricist for answering the officer’s questions, but Jimm took to social media to push back on allegations he was a snitch and noted that no one got locked up or in any legal trouble because of him.
“Bro show me where I give a nxgga real name up?” he wrote on his Instagram Story. “Show me where I told on ANY NXGGA! Show me paperwork where I got anybody locked up bruh real [poop emoji]. The young Florida rapper was signed to Quality Control in February and currently has around 65,000 monthly listeners on Spotify. He dropped his latest single “Set In Stone” in May, and most recently dropped off the single “In Too Deep” just a few hours after being released from the hospital.
“Heard they wanna take me down, won’t let them sweep me off my feet/ Mama want me out that water, but I’m in too deep,” he raps on the track.
In addition to “In Too Deep,” he also dropped another track called “Wrecked The Cat” which details how he totaled a Dodge Hellcat that was gifted to him by QC head honcho Pee.
“Young, I’m livin’ reckless, snakes we leave them headless/ Wrecked the ‘Cat, I could’ve been dead/ To still be here, this shit a blessing,” he raps over the bass heavy record.
Prior to the release of both songs, SCY JIMM released a press statement that briefly gave a peek into his mindset amid recovery and new music. “Everything ain’t perfect, but it’s a blessing to be here,” he said.
