Quality Control rapper SCY JIMM has dropped a scathing new track which arrives on the heels of him checking out of the hospital after being being shot multiple times.
The Florida artist recorded his new track “In Too Deep” just a few hours after being released from the hospital after being shot in Daytona Beach, FL earlier this month. On the somber track, SCY Jimm refuses to shy away from the unfortunate incident which could have cost him his life.
“Heard they wanna take me down, won’t let them sweep me off my feet/ Mama want me out that water, but I’m in too deep,” he raps on the track.

In addition to “In Too Deep,” he also dropped another track called “Wrecked The Cat” which details how he totaled a Dodge Hellcat that was gifted to him by QC head honcho Pee.
“Young, I’m livin’ reckless, snakes we leave them headless/ Wrecked the ‘Cat, I could’ve been dead/ To still be here, this shit a blessing,” he raps over the bass heavy record.
Prior to the release of both tracks, SCY JIMM released a press statement that briefly gave a peek into his mindset amid recovery and new music. “Everything ain’t perfect, but it’s a blessing to be here,” he said.
“It’s sad I had to get shot to realize who’s there and who’s not there for me! I have barely rested, barely healed, but I’m still excited to tell you This Friday, Ill be releasing two videos in one ‘In Too Deep’ & ‘Wrecked The Cat.'”

SCY JIMM was shot multiple times on June 7 while trying to park his car, according to RapHouseTV. The Economic Times then added that the rapper’s manager Blue Chezz had previously been arrested for second-degree murder charges the day before he was shot, though the two incidents didn’t seem to be connected.
My Mixtapez further reported that SCY JIMM had also been arrested the same day as his manager, but was released on bond, though that couldn’t be confirmed either.
The young Florida rapper was signed to Quality Control in February and currently has around 65,000 monthly listeners on Spotify. Prior to his latest two-pack, he released the song “Set In Stone” in May, and took a minute to shout out the label’s CEO Pierre “P” Thomas for his 37th birthday earlier this month.
“Mann, Ion even Know where to start,” he wrote on Instagram. “You believed in me, gave me a chance, Something a lot of folks were scared to do You Changed Not only mine but a bunch of people’s lives and you don’t even know it Man You My 4L.

He continued: “No matter what, You do for me that you wouldn’t have to in 1,000 years and I want you to know I appreciate EVERYTHING Everybody Wish A Happy Birthday To Da Biggest. Live It Up My [ninja emoji] I wish you many More .”
SCY JIMM is unfortunately not the first QC signee to experience gun violence. Bankroll Freddie was previously shot in the face in 2021, and Lil Marlo was shot and killed in Atlanta back in 2020.
