Big Sean Apologizes For His Absence & Promises To Go Hard In 2020

Big Sean’s made a New Year’s Resolution to go hard in 2020.

Sean Don took to Instagram on Wednesday (January 1) to reflect on “the decade that changed my life,” promising to make more music starting this year. He thanked his fans for their support and apologized for being distant, saying, “Thank u for a decade that changed my life. Through the the ups n downs I managed to do the impossible where I’m from n became one of the top selling hip hop artists of the decade, 52 million records sold n counting, ain’t even dropped no project in the last couple years. Like I said on my 1st album “never made da crowds fans, I made them all fam”. N I apologize for the distance n lack of communication but life is life. 2020 we back goin hard tho, fuck all dat otha shit ??”

Big Sean’s  last solo album, I Decided, was released in February 2017. Double or Nothing, his collaborative album with MetroBoomin dropped in December that same year.

In the last three years, the Detroit rapper has stayed relatively quiet, dropping a few loose singles and appearing as a feature on a handful of major Hip Hop releases. He was featured on “White Sand” from Culture II by the Migos in 2018. His verse on “None of Your Concern” by Jhene Aiko went viral in 2019 for giving fans some graphic insight into their their on-again, off-again relationship. The pair rang in the New Year together, fueling reconciliation rumors.

Sean’s highly anticipated fifth studio album is rumored for a 2020 release. Last year, he released three songs from the untitled project,”Single Again,” “Overtime,” and “Bezerk” ft A$AP Ferg. An official release date has not been announced.

    1. 52 million album sales? I don’t know his discography but let’s say 5 albums and they’ve each sold 10 million copies? I like Sean but he ain’t sold 52 million

    2. Please stay away from the mic… I swear if this guy drops another vagina album of his, I’m gonna eat my right arm.

    3. One of the 2010s most overrated, right next to Wale. Ya’ll KNOW this nigga wasn’t saying shit on 70% of his songs. At all.

    4. You a bunch of female dogs for tryin comment on the Don like that. Your favorite rapper stole the flow from Sean. Suck a fat cucumber down your wind pipe quickly.
IDFWY, Blessings, Bounce Back, Living Single, Paradise, Clique… the list goes on. Big Sean been smoking these rappers. FOH

    5. IF you really sold 52 million albums physical sales you would be worth more then 16 million dollars, these far fetched albums sales these artist say they are selling is oblivious. Streams aint record sales

    6. This explains why hip-hop wasn’t as terrible as it could have been for a minute.
      Stay on the bench.

    7. ALWAYS THOUGHT THIS DUDE WAS WACK OUTSIDE OF THE OCCASIONAL BANGER. HE RAPS TOO MUCH ABOUT CELLPHONE ETIQUETTE.

    8. damn man, reading these comments and y’all some haters…. Big Sean has flow and bars.. you have to deliberately be a hater to try and degrade someones skill when they actually get busy in the booth and can spit bars and knowledge lol…. maybe you can’t comprehend or you’re too incompetent but no reason to be daft. Stay in your own lane of “music” if you can’t appreciate actual hip hop FOH.
