B.G. is all set to hit the ground running following his release from prison, and he has told 2 Chainz about his plans to make his presence felt in music once again.
On Saturday (September 9), the Georgia native shared a clip of him talking to the Hot Boys MC in which the latter revealed his goals now that he has the freedom to continue his career in Hip Hop.
“If everything work out, man, I should be back on the road by November, man, December,” he could be heard saying through the phone speakers. “I’m lookin’ forward to it, but I’m boutta get in this lab – do me about seven, eight albums right quick, and just get to leakin’ that shit, man, puttin’ that shit out, floodin’ the streets.”
Check out the video of the conversation below:
In 2012, B.G. was condemned to 14 years behind bars after pleading guilty to two counts of possession of a firearm and one count of conspiracy to obstruct justice stemming from a 2009 traffic stop arrest. Earlier this month, he was released after serving the majority of his sentence.
Soon after, Birdman announced that the 43-year-old will be rejoining the label he called home during the height of his career now that he’s a free man. On Friday (September 8), Stunna confirmed on The 85 South Show that the New Orleans rapper will once again be a member of the Cash Money family.
“For the record, I just want n-ggas to know that my n-gga [B.G.] official Cash Money — ain’t no cap in that,” Birdman declared. “Ya heard me? Ain’t nobody he can ever sign with beside this shit. I’m bringing all this shit together. B.G. signed to Cash Money so y’all don’t got to hear it from nowhere else.”
Birdman’s comments may have possibly been aimed at fellow rap mogul Gucci Mane, who offered to give B.G. a $1 million record deal upon his release from prison last year.
“My 1017 family help me welcome home the living legend @BGHollyHood!” Guwop tweeted after since-debunked rumors of B.G.’s release began circulating in 2022. “Glad u home bruh! Got so much love and respect for u as a man and artist! Get at me, I got a milli for u! Wanna sign u to 1017!!!!! #1017Mafia [money bag emojis].”
That’s what he doesn’t need to do. He needs to take in a fresh start and come up with a solid plan for his career. Find something to say and get with some dope producers to put together a solid body of work.
Man, I hate this new era of music with this quantity over quality bullshit. If he got that many songs already written, back in the day the mentality would be to sit down, record and end up with about 2 classic albums out of it. Now people just throw shit out that ain’t nobody ever gon remember even came out in 5 years. SMH Hip-hop is the only genre that do that dumb shit.
1 good album will do.
The man been locked up for 11 years. Don’t sleep on somebody that had all that time to write. Remember lil Wayne or 2pac after being locked up
Pac’s album prior to going to jail (Me Against The World) was released 11 months before his post prison release album (All Eyez On Me). BG has been in jail for a decade. His fans are old now, and probably don’t care about whatever street shit he’ll rap about as a 43 year old rapper.
U a buster why u gon hate on bg like that
@Bommy – assuming that was directed at me. 1. Didn’t realize anyone used the term “buster” anymore. Perhaps you’ve also been locked up for a decade. 2. BG fans are likely in their 40’s… if you’re 40 and still want to hear new gangster/street shit, then you might want to grow the fuck up.
8 albums with only the total sales of one lol. His material is probably outdated anyway. There’s been many hit rappers since and teens are catering to the new shit. Drake n a few others changed the game and are unstoppable
Lol Drake
Oh god please no. Please don’t release more garbage music. We all saw there’s no talent here before he ever went to prison
Everything’s he’s released up to this point has been trash so I guess more trash from the Cash Money camp
