A$AP Rocky has given yet another non-update about his long-awaited and oft-delayed album, Don’t Be Dumb.

While out at Paris Fashion Week, the always-dapper Harlem native proudly spoke with The People Gallery about his outfit – but got coy when it came to a release date for the LP.

“Don’t do me like that,” he said laughing. “ASAP! Listen, don’t make me do that right now, man. You gon’ get me beat up out here, bro. They on my head, bro, ’cause of questions like that.

“I can’t even… I gotta go right now.”

In an interview with GQ late last month, A$AP Rocky gave the most promising update on the album to date.

“I’m in the mixing and mastering realm of it, but I think quite frankly, people are tired of hearing about updates about the album,” he admitted. “They’re just ready to get this shit, you know what I’m saying? I don’t think anybody wants to hear where I’m at with it, how far is it along and all that. They just want to hear some shit just to see where I’m at, and I promise I got some new shit in store. I’m challenging myself. It’s like anything, I approach it with a different tactic, degree, or finesse.”

He continued: “The album’s done. I just want to drop it. I don’t want to keep saying what I’m going to do and I want to give people what I’ve been promising them for a long-ass fucking time.”

The album initially had a release date of August 30 of last year before being delayed to an unspecified fall date – and it still has yet to arrive.

Don’t Be Dumb will serve as his first album in six years and the follow up to his third LP Testing, which arrived to mixed reviews in 2018.

A few weeks back, a new snippet of the Harlem rapper going in on a Metro Boomin beat made its rounds – and he’s referencing the trial in his bars, so it’s likely to be newly-recorded.

He raps: “I wear Armani to court, your honor/Look like John Gotti in court, your honor.”

It’s unclear if that will land on the album, however, but it is clear he’s in all systems go mode following his trial.
