it looks like apollo changed up his sound a little bit.. finally. im down with Apollo but i feel like his drum patterns are always the same, but here he changed it up
Yeah, that’s what I thought too. These sounded just fine.
I feel like he’s had a good variety for the past year and a half. There was the Ghostface record, and some bonus stuff on Ugly Heroes that sounded way different. Even those Planet Asia remixes – not many drums on em at all. But for me it don’t matter I love his signature drums. This one is heat tho.
This guy might not be a big name, or work with big mainstream rappers or none of that, but this guy is phenominal. Might not be as good as Preemo or Alchemist, but I’ll take an Apollo Brown beat over theirs any day. Just my opinion. If ya’ll havent heard the album Dice Game by Apollo Brown and Gulity Simpson, then you should get on that right now. So Good.
The worst AB beat ever > The best Alchemist beat ever. AB uses dope samples AND puts dope drums with them. Alchemist only has dope samples with wack drums. Never ever liked Alc’s beats as most people do, but still I’ve listened most of the shit he’s done.
About time! Been waiting on a new AB album since “Clouds”!
Nice Track!
THIS NIGGA THINK HE TOO HARD…
