Angela Simmons’ Ex-Fiancé Was Reportedly Shot 13 Times

The medical examiner has completed Sutton Tennyson’s autopsy. According to TMZ, Tennyson — Angela Simmons’ ex-fiancé and father of her 2-year-old son — was shot 13 times in the chest, stomach, legs and arms.

The Fulton County Medical Examiner said three of the shots resulted in an “enormous amount of damage” to his heart, hitting multiple chambers of the organ. Other bullets were found lodged in Tennyson’s lungs while his stomach and spleen were also hit. Nine of the shots penetrated Tennyson’s body and four cut or grazed him.

Tennyson was shot last November outside of his Atlanta home after getting into an argument with Michael Williams. Police alleged Williams opened fire and then fled in his vehicle. Witnesses at the scene told officers Tennyson and Williams were arguing about money.

After turning himself in, Williams was indicted for murder last week but he denies being the triggerman.

Tennyson was 37.

The man allegedly responsible for the death of Sutton Tennyson — Angela Simmons’ ex-fiancé and father of her child — has turned himself in to Atlanta police. According to WSB-TV Atlanta, Michael Williams surrendered to authorities on Wednesday (November 7).

Williams’ attorney, Jackie Patterson, told reporter Tom Jones that his client “will not be making any statements.”

Williams is charged with murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a firearm during commission of a felon.

Tennyson was shot and killed in his driveway on November 4.

Although the couple called off their engagement last year, Simmons expressed her deep sorrow on social media, writing, “Thank you for leaving behind my greatest gift. I’m hurting. I’m numb.”

Their son, Sutton Jr., is 2 years old.

Angela Simmons, the daughter of Run-DMC’s Rev Run, woke up to some horrific news on Sunday morning (November 4). According to TMZ, Sutton Tennyson — Simmons’ ex-fiancé and father of her 2-year-old son — was shot and killed inside his Atlanta home.

Police initially believed it was a home invasion but upon further investigation, it appears the incident occurred following some kind of argument.

Atlanta police reportedly responded to a “shots fired” call at Tennyson’s home and found him dead in his garage with multiple gunshot wounds. Officers said the 37-year-old was talking to another man in his driveway when the conversation escalated. The suspect then fled the scene in a car.

Simmons took to Instagram to mourn the father of her 2-year-old son Sutton Jr.

“Thank you for leaving behind my greatest gift,” Simmons wrote in the caption. “I’m hurting . I’m numb. Thank you for the out pouring of love everyone . I cant believe I’m even saying Rest In Peace Sutton . I promise to hold SJ down in every way I promise.”

Simmons and Tennyson called off their engagement last year.
