“Their dates have been very far apart because of schedules, but it’s been going on a few months,” a source told the publication.

.Paak is described as being “very smitten” with Carey, despite their 16-year age gap, while the “Obsessed” singer thinks the Silk Sonic star is “very sweet” and “loves how musically inclined” he is, according to the insider.

A separate source claimed that .Paak is the first person Carey has “truly been interested in” in years and he “won her over quickly” with his charming personality.

The two artists also reportedly “have a lot in common,” including both being parents to teenagers.

Rumors have been circulating that Anderson .Paak and Mariah Carey are an item since December when they were spotted looking intimate while leaving a restaurant together in Aspen, Colorado.

During their outing, Anderson could also be seen with his arm around Mariah’s waist and holding the door open for her.

Though neither artist has yet confirmed the speculation, the Oxnard native played it coy when quizzed about his relationship with Carey while out shopping in Aspen.

Asked by The Shade Room if he had bought anything for the pop star, he replied with a bashful laugh: “You never know!” before grinning from ear to ear.

The “Boy (I Need You)” collaborators were romantically linked in the past, with the speculation resurfacing in 2023 after Killa Cam posted pictures on Instagram of himself and Carey with the caption: “I’m The friend you shouldn’t worry about.”

On his YouTube show Talk with Flee, the Dipset legend set the record straight on their relationship, saying: “She’s a friend. She’s a good friend. It’s nothing less or nothing more than that. She’s a super-duper good friend. We were never together. We were never a couple, nothing like that.”
