Cam’ron has cleared up longstanding rumors that he and Mariah Carey were more than just friends.
The “Boy (I Need You)” collaborators have been romantically linked in the past, with the speculation resurfacing in 2023 after Killa Cam posted pictures on Instagram of himself and Carey with the caption: “I’m The friend you shouldn’t worry about.”

On the latest episode of his YouTube show Talk With Flee that premiered this week, the Dipset legend set the record straight on his relationship with the iconic singer.
“She’s a friend. She’s a good friend. It’s nothing less or nothing more than that. She’s a super-duper good friend,” he said. “We were never together. We were never a couple, nothing like that.”

Detailing how their friendship began, he explained: “She liked a song of mine and then we did ‘Boy’ and we hung out. She invited me [to Aspen]. Honestly, Mariah’s the first person who made me realize that it was festive in Aspen about 20-something years ago.”
“I drunk some wine, she had a pool house, we chilled out there,” he added. “She took me to Capri, to Italy. She took me to a lot of different places. Thank you for helping me experience some things at a young age that I do for fun now.”

Cam also revealed that Mariah has several Dipset chains in her possession but brushed off suggestions that they were gifted to her after sexual favors.
The Harlem native also gave Carey props as an artist, saying: “We gotta realize, when it comes to Mariah Carey, because she’s such a pop figure and so popular around the world and a mega superstar, people don’t give Mariah Carey a lot of credit for putting Hip Hop in her music and videos.
“Mariah Carey worked with Da Brat, Mariah Carey worked with The LOX, Mariah Carey with Ma$e, Mariah Carey worked with me. Mariah Carey worked with Ol’ Dirty Bastard!”
Meanwhile, Mariah Carey was recently linked with Anderson .Paak after they were seen getting cozy in Aspen over the Christmas period.
The pair were seen holding hands as they departed a restaurant in the Colorado city after .Paak reportedly kissed the “Touch My Body” singer’s hand during the meal.

During a separate outing in Aspen, the Silk Sonic singer was seen with his arm around Carey’s waist and holding the door open for her.
Though it was reported by TMZ that they were not actually a couple and were simply working on music together, .Paak gave a coy answer when quizzed about his relationship with the legendary singer.
Asked by The Shade Room if he had bought anything for Mariah while out shopping, he replied with a bashful laugh: “You never know!” before grinning from ear to ear.
The two artists were also photographed together at a Halloween party last year that was hosted by .Paak in West Hollywood.
