A Twitter user apparently parading as a Universal Music A&R went on a rant about Nicki Minaj’s latest release and blamed the rapper herself for what he dubbed “the #ShitPrint” and it’s relatively low sales expectations earlier this week.
Jaywan Inc., which has been flagged with a complaint on the website Ripoff Report according to The YBF, was allegedly signed to a distribution deal with Universal more than four years ago in June of 2010 according to a fishy press release on HipHopPress.com. Late last year, HipHopWired covered a similar rant from the producer behind the company, who has purportedly lent his production to the likes of Jim Jones, Young Jeezy, and Nipsey Hussle, in which he criticized Rick Ross’ management of Maybach Music Group and it’s publishing deals.
Jaywan’s latest attack dates at least back to December 17 in which he retreaded the release of Minaj’s last album, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded.
When a Twitter user asked him why he’s concerned about the sales, JaywanInc again claimed to be an A&R at Universal Music.
The producer also blamed the botched roll-out on Nicki Minaj herself.

that guy is not affiliated with umg hes a fraud who tries to trick people into signing fake contracts hes pretty well known on twitter. he has about 50 different account i always see him trying to scam people into signing imaginary contracts and it was just a few days ago i saw someone saying he is a fraud and he wants the person to pay $500 for ending his contract lol they have emails from him claiming he also has ties to interscope. a label rep would not be so unprofessional trolling on social media. he didn’t tag iggy in the tweet because she would have exposed him as a fraud.
He also tries to trick people into buying beats. It says on his Twitter page hes a Grammy Nominated Producer for Young Jeezy, 2 Chainz, Trey Songz, Bone Thugs, Lil Boosie, Nipsey Hussle, Jim Jones, Twista, Kid Ink. Can someone send me a link to one of these songs becasue i just searched high and low and i cant find a song by any of those artists produced by this scam ass nigga.

As goofy as this Jaywan character is, all these things spoken on are very true in terms of what happens when an album isn’t selling well. Dead on the money about how re-releases are handled as well. While I don’t think he is a real exec, he may be closely affiliated with one who is in fact going through what he speaks on.

Pop rap singles may be going platinum but nobody is buying that album to hear the same shit over and over. The amount of overhead costs on putting out albums like that is retarded. Ironic thing about it is if her AR and marketing team would take the time to fully re-develop her, it would cost less to put her albums out and they’d all make more money, but they’re barcode dollar menu dealers and the quality isn’t there, so people aren’t bothering buying full albums. Her labels made a mistake by continuously allowing her to put “PINK” in the title!!!!!! The are confused as to if this is just a reissue with bonus tracks. Her second and latest albums should have not included the word “PINK”. She is a moron for naming her albums pretty much the same thing.
