Miami, FL

DJ Akademiks has posted a photo hanging ringside with former United States President Donald Trump at UFC 287 in Miami over the weekend.

Fresh off being charged and arraigned on 34 felony counts for falsifying New York business records prior to the 2016 election, Trump jetted down to Miami where he was seated by Akademiks and a number of celebrities in the Kaseya Center for UFC 287’s main event rematch between Israel Adesanya and Alex Pereira on Saturday night (April 8).

Following Stylebender’s thrilling round 2 knockout of Pereira to reclaim his middleweight title, Akademiks joked in his caption that Trump offered for him to run as his vice president in the 2024 election.

“Might have to take up Uncle Trump on his offer of being His Vice President 2024. Bruh told me ‘no way you’d be worse than Kamala,'” Ak wrote on Sunday (April 9).

The photo has compiled 50,000 likes and plenty of commentary from his followers as one person sarcastically chimed in: “Big Ak tryna save on taxes!”

Akademiks has long been a fan of Donald Trump and hasn’t been shy about his plan to vote for 45 if he indeed runs for U.S. President again in 2024. Ak opened up about his reasoning in a heated back-and-forth over his Trump support with DJ Vlad last September.

“Vlad, I’m definitely voting for Trump next time… The reason why is he’s the only other candidate and four more years of Biden — I’m not going for that,” he said.

“I’m one of those people where I don’t have to agree with all your thoughts or whatever… But I’m simply looking at life under two presidents and this muthafucka’ looks senile and I think that we need him out of there.”

Akademiks continued: “In the last like two or three years, I’ve realized that I’m neither a Democrat or nor a Republican because I have ideals on both sides of the fence that I weigh differently at different times.”
