Action Bronson is back and “better than ever” on his new single “Nourish a Thug.”
Bronson took to Instagram on Thursday (May 30) to introduce the track and announce his new album, Johann Sebastian Bachlava the Doctor, which will serve as the follow-up to 2022’s Cocodrillo Turbo.
“THE DOCTOR IS BACK AND BETTER THAN EVER,” he wrote. “*NOURISH A THUG* produced by MY BROHAM @daringer_ DISPLAYS MYSTICAL MUSICAL RHYTHMS THAT TRANSPORT YOU TO A DIFFERENT WORLD ALONG WITH OTHER WORLDY LYRICAL ENSEMBLE. MY NEW ALBUM *JOHANN SEBASTIAN BACHLAVA THE DOCTOR* IS SOON UPON US.”
The song features a throwback beat from Griselda producer Daringer, laced with screeching synths and skittering hi-hats. On the mic, Bronsolino does what he does best and peppers his storytelling verses with pop culture references — from Tru Life and Tyson Fury to Xzibit‘s Pimp My Ride.
In the accompanying video, directed by Sean Kelly, Bronson loads up his Jeep and heads to a lake for a taste of wilderness, but things go left when he gets into a car chase with police.
The visual ends with Bronson making a run for it on foot as a “To Be Continued” appears on the screen, setting the stage for a sequel.
Action Bronson previously teased Johann Sebastian Bachlava the Doctor in February, emphatically hyping up his return.
“FINISHING UP NEW ALBUM. *JOHAN SEBASTIAN BACHLAVA THE DOCTOR* ITS HARD TO NOT RAP WHEN I WAS BLESSED WITH THE ART. IM BACK. AGAIN AND AGAIN,” he wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
A few months before that, the rapper/chef/TV personality shared a video of him jamming on a keyboard alongside a saxophone player and a drummer.
He captioned the clip: “BIG BAKURABA IS COMING TO TOWN. GRAMMY TIME. JOHAN SEBASTIAN BAKLAVA THE DOCTOR.”
Despite the two-year wait for a new album and his various non-music ventures, including a collaboration with New Balance, the Queens, New York native has been keeping his sword sharp in the studio.
In November, he reunited with longtime collaborator The Alchemist for a song called “Vertigo,” taken from the veteran producer’s Flying High 2 EP.
Bam Bam has also made appearances on Larry June and The Alchemist’s The Great Escape, Logic’s Vinyl Days and Valee and Harry Fraud’s Vibrant in recent years.

C’mon son
You know rappers reference other rapper’s bars all the time? Get off your high horse jackass.
There’s “referencing” and there’s “biting.” You need to make it very clear if it’s referencing, like by saying it exactly. It’s the same as quoting someone. You quote what they say, and credit them. You don’t slightly change it and deliver it as your own words. Jackass.
This dude is a shark biter. He bit ghostface delivery now he biting fabulous bars. Corn ball euro trash
