Ab-Soul and Joey Bada$$ were reportedly arrested in St. Louis, Missouri following their “The Smoker’s Club Tour” performances on Monday (October 29), according to hotnewhiphop.com.
The site also reports that other members of Pro Era were arrested as well.
The reasons for the arrests are unknown.
Ab-Soul and Joey Bada$$ are in the middle of their “The Smoker’s Club Tour.” The tour began October 17 in Providence, Rhode Island. It is set to conclude November 30 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
A short clip of the arrest was made on Instagram by d0eburger. In the clip, Ab-Soul and Joey Bada$$ can be seen in handcuffs. Bada$$ laughs in the clip and asks the arresting officer questions.
“Have you figured out why I’m in these handcuffs?” Joey says in the video. “Have you figured it out?
As the short clip continues, Joey turns to the camera.
“Yo, they don’t even know why I’m in these handcuffs,” he says.

UPDATE: Ab-Soul and Joey Bada$$ were handcuffed and released by police, according to Statik Selektah, who is also on the tour.
“No one is in jail,” Statik Selektah said in an exclusive statement to HipHopDX today (October 29). “The cops were profiling because Joey and Ab were walking through the hotel parking lot to the bus. I was inside the hotel working when it happened, but by the time I came out, the cops were gone and the hotel security told me how it was bullshit.”
Statik was asked if Soul and Bada$$ were taken to the police station.
“Naw,” Statik said. “The cops felt dumb as fuck after they realized they were fucking up. [It was] basically profiling gone wrong. They saw the tour bus, passports, etcetera.”
Statik made it clear that the tour will not be interrupted by the incident.
“The show is still on tonight in St. Louis,” Statik said. “That was some typical police bullshit.”
