A$AP Rocky was ever the supportive partner at the 2023 Oscars, toasting Rihanna from the crowd during her performance and showing love to their baby-to-be as he cradled her baby bump for a set of photos.

Rih took the stage for a live performance of her Oscar-nominated song “Lift Me Up” at the 95th annual Academy Awards on Sunday night (March 12). Afterward, she changed out of her Maison Margiela set into a faux fur wrap with a green skirt and was all smiles as she posed for pics with her longtime beau – who looked equally as dapper in a tuxedo jacket and trousers.

Dedicated to the late Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman, who died of cancer aged 43 in August 2020, “Lift Me Up” was nominated for Best Original Song, marking Rihanna’s first Oscar nomination.

However, the song lost out to M. M. Keeravani, Chandrabose, Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava’s “Naatu Naatu,” from the Indian film RRR.

Rihanna’s Oscars performance came exactly one month after she made her return to the stage by headlining the Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show – where she revealed her growing baby bump. Her representative later confirmed that she is indeed pregnant.

This will be the second child for Rihanna and Rocky, following the arrival of their son in May 2022.

Just before her Oscars performance, Rihanna took to Instagram to share some pics of their son, who apparently was harboring a little jealousy of his future sibling.

“My son when he found out his sibling is going to the Oscars and not him,” she captioned her post.

In a recent interview with British Vogue, Rihanna opened up about her relationship with A$AP Rocky and her experiences with early motherhood.

“Oh my God, it’s legendary,” she said of her first nine months as a mother. “It’s everything. You really don’t remember life before, that’s the craziest thing ever.

She continued: “You literally try to remember it – and there are photos of my life before – but the feeling, the desires, the things that you enjoy, everything, you just don’t identify with it because you don’t even allow yourself mentally to get that far because…because it doesn’t matter.”
