    Due to security concerns from New York City Police, 50 Cent’s Family Day [click to read] event, which would have taken place in Queens, New York, was canceled. The event was scheduled for Sunday, August 30 in Jamaica, Queens.

    Local police were weary of the number of people that may have come out for the festivities and the lack of officers available for the event.

    Although 50 Cent’s Family Day event did not take place on August 30, 50 Cent’s [click to read] manager Chris Lighty revealed to the New York Post that the event will more than likely be rescheduled.

    “We are postponing it and working it out with police,”
    Chris Lighty explained to the New York Post.

    Despite the cancellation of Family Day, 50 Cent [click to read] did make an appearance in Queens on Sunday, greeting a number of fans. And earlier that weekend 50 Cent treated fans and friends to an exclusive performance at Great Adventures in New Jersey.
