50 Cent continues on his quest to shade FOX’s show Empire as much as possible, this time taking more shot at Taraji P. Henson, who plays Cookie on the show, and the show’s dip in viewership.
“Wow,” 50 Cent wrote under a screenshot of a headline suggesting less people are watching Empire as the show enters its third season. “Well look at the bright side at least. You can eat your Trophies. I was talking to old girl but you felt like you had to respond. SMH you I love you cookie.”
Henson, who won the Golden Globe for Best Actress this year for her work, didn’t hesitate to put 50 in check for the bullying and notes that while ratings have gone down, it’s still the #1 scripted television show.
With an act of classiness, she also takes the time to embrace fellow actress Naturi Haughton, who plays the role of Tasha on 50 Cent’s Starz-produced show Power.
“Sooooooooo proud of you @naturi4real I WANT YOU TO KNOW I will NEVER let any NEGATIVITY come between the LOVE I have for my sisters!!!” Taraji captioned on an Instagram post advertising Power‘s Sunday episode. “As women we put up with enough BS. I will NEVER add to that stress and heartache!!! YOU ARE DOPE on #Power and in life!!! #BlackGirlMagic SHINE BABY SHINE”
50 Cent’s ex-girlfriend Vivica A. Fox also went at him for continuously bashing her and Empire. Jussie Smollett — who plays Jamal Lyon, Cookie’s son, on the show — came to all the ladies defense and questioned the “I’m The Man” rapper’s manhood for pitting the shows’ women against each other.
“Do you realize how petty it is that you’re a crab in a barrel?” Jussie captioned in a lengthy post. “I hold up Taraji just as I hold up @Naturi4Real. So who is the real man?”
Check out Vivica A. Fox and Jussie Smollet’s reactions to 50 Cent’s Empire slander below.
I love Empire
I love Empire but it’ still to gay for our children we as mothers and fathers need to do better for our generation the male child is becoming to weak
How Sway?
I never seen Power but which show do y’all prefer?
Power its not about music it has real life story lines. Wexall know a “Ghost” if you know any who is really making money in the streets.
Apples and oranges imo. Empire is more of a soap opera with great music and Power is more of a come up gangster story. Both shows have terrible acting imo. It’s really a matter of what kind of spectacle you prefer to go with and for me Power is a watered down version of The Wire and Narcos. Empire has a lot of great music I like so I prefer that.
Shut d fuck up! Power dope nd fuck al gaysha yal watch on empire.aint nuhin hiphop bout dat. Datz d uglification of hiphop.
its better than your shity power snitchy now go shine some shoes lmao
I still don’t understand why we have to tear each other down, there is enough success in the world for everyone to get some. Lost all respect for 50 (not that I had too much anyway). We should be lifting one another up, we have plenty of “other” people plotting on our downfall. Let’s rise together and kill all negativity.
There’s nothing better than black on black, whether it may be in the streets, rap battles, television/movies.. Violence sells.
Power is way better. Empire season 1 was pretty good, but season 2 is where they lost me. Couldn’t even get through the while thing.
power is far better but season two of empire was still great so far season 3 is great as well
“AGAIN CONGRATS ON YOUR SUCCESS BLACK MAN”—ahh the classic i just lost the battle and war so let me try to befriend him with the ‘support’ lol she just doesnt want 50 to keep killing her so shes going with this im black ur black lmaooo. sad tatic
You and 50 need to grow up smh
“Loose change makes so much unnecessary noise! Looking for that damn cent sign, guess it’s obsolete” – DAAAAAMMMMMN 50 hold this L real quick hahahaha
Power is way better, the show is darker and has more of an underground appeal to it. Empire is a soap Opera trying to appeal to everybody and it’s corny to me. The characters are more real on Power but it can still be better. 50 character is not really needed an his stuff brings it down a bit.
