50 Cent has reignited his old animus for Irv Gotti following rumors that Nelly and Ashanti may be back “on again” after so many years apart.
On Monday (April 24), the G-Unit mogul took to Instagram to share a video of the former lovers sharing a steamy moment onstage at Tao Beach in Las Vegas, NV.
Fif posted the video next to a picture of Irv looking a little worse for wear, implying that the Murder Inc. co-founder was shell-shocked following the rumors about Nelly and Ashanti’s romantic reunion.

“Man, somebody check on Irv Gotti ASAP!” he wrote in the photo. “Know he going through it right now.”
“HE WILL BE AIGHT [laughing face emojis],” he wrote in the caption. “I was in love wit her, and she just popped up with Nelly. LOL.”

50 Cent and Irv Gotti have been at odds since 1999, after Irv’s longtime friend and artist Ja Rule was robbed for his chain at gunpoint in Southside Jamaica, Queens while he was filming a music video, allegedly by an associate of 50 Cent.
“Ja saw me in a club with the kid who robbed him,” Fif claimed in his 2005 biography From Pieces to Weight. “I went over to say, ‘What’s up’ to Ja, and he acted like he had a problem with me. But I’m not the one who robbed him.”
Ja Rule has since confirmed the robbery took place, but he denies he ever saw 50 Cent with the robber.

As for Nelly and Ashanti, they’ve been sparking dating rumors since February, when the former flames donned what appeared to be matching iced-out Cuban link chains around their necks.
The chain is eerily similar to the one the “Country Grammar” rapper has been wearing during recent appearances such as at the 65th Grammy Awards earlier in February.

In December, the former couple hit the stage as part of Power 98.3 and Power 96.1‘s “Under The Mistletoe” concert series in Glendale, Arizona. Footage later surfaced showing Ashanti grinding on Nelly while performing their 2008 collaboration “Body On Me”, which quickly went viral as fans flocked to social media to call for the Hip Hop and R&B stars to get back together.
“Yo Nelly #ILoveIt,” Lil Mama commented on a post shared via The Shade Room, while singer Syleena Johnson added: “I like them they should get back together.”
“I mean, there’s Ben & Jen.. can we get a Nelly & Ashanti reboot pleaseeee,” another fan wrote on Twitter, referencing Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck reconnecting after two decades in 2021.
Some fans threw shade at Irv Gotti in the process as they suspected the Murder Inc. boss — who dredged up his alleged affair with Ashanti last year — wasn’t too fond of the clip.
“That clip with Ashanti and Nelly is gonna have Irv Gotti fighting and screaming in his sleep,” one Twitter user joked.
Meanwhile, during an appearance on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen the week following their steamy performance, Ashanti did not confirm nor deny whether they had rekindled their romance.

“I saw a lot of comments,” she said. “My reaction was wow. It was a lot of comments and a lot of people wanting that.”
“I’ll tell you this, “We’re in a better place ’cause before it was like…” she added while playfully making a punching motion. “But you know, we’re cool now. We had some conversations, you know, so it was cool.”
